New model types:

  • Entity-Relationship models
  • DEMO (Design and Engineering Methodology for Organizations - re-added after an overhaul)

General changes across model types:

  • Added Undo-Redo
  • Reshuffled items in bottom and top toolbars
    • Show/Hide and layouting is now in top Diagram submenu
    • Created new Model submenu where entire-model-specific items have been moved into
  • Project tree is updated automatically and remembers expanded nodes
  • Model elements can be removed from project tree
  • GUI layout now keeps sizes of left and right sidebars properly
  • Project can now be renamed
  • Redesigned Project Browser
    • Recent projects remember all projects, now just last one
    • Examples are now opened through the Project Browser
    • Models have icons for faster selection
  • PDF exports are now valid files on Windows and have italics on Linux (only in builds available on GitHub)
  • Removed zoom in/out animation (zooming is not as nice, but faster)
  • Check for new version feature is a little more robust
  • Resizable diagram elements selection frame now moves with the element properly when resized
  • Enlarged element resize handles
  • Removed removal confirmation dialog (since undo exists)
  • Added Ctrl+S for saving a project
  • After creation, elements have name field selected in form instead of showing a popup dialog
  • F2 or double click on canvas elements triggers renaming
  • OpenPonk can be switched to dark theme (via Pharo Settings) even if a diagram is open - still not recommended tough

(Onto)UML:

  • Improved layouting of packages
  • Added a few more example diagrams/models

BORM:

  • Added BORM simulations
  • Participant labels are no longer moving outside of participant when renamed

BPMN:

  • Reworked pools and pool lanes
    • Lanes are being added through palette, edited individually
    • Lanes are now model elements and lanes know its elements
    • Fixed an issue that pools could not be selected with certain amounts of lanes
    • Pools are resizing without stretching its contents
  • Fixed multiple conditions for possible flow sources/targets
  • Added annotations and associations
  • Added boundary events
  • Improved layouting of pools and subprocesses
  • Items of subprocesses and pools move with the containers
  • Resizing of elements works the same way as rest of the plugins/model types
  • Added an example diagram/model
  • Added empty gateways (for XOR - visual alternative to existing X)
  • Multiline names are displayed slightly better

New known issues:

  • Simulations and verifications/validations are not cooperating with undo-redo and might override each-other's changes
  • Zooming is often quite laggy
  • PDF exports have inverted font italics
  • Canceling saving a project still saves the project
  • BPMN validations and simulations are not working
  • BPMN pool resizing and lane adding can lead to some visual glitches
