This is a custom script for the Firebot app. It reads .srt files and displays subtitles.

To load it:

  1. Download the script file: Subtitle.Parser.js attached as a binary to this release.
  2. Open your Firebot scripts folder. You can find this easily in Firebot by going to Settings > Scripts > Open Scripts Folder.
  3. Place the downloaded Subtitle.Parser.js file into this folder.
    To use it:
  4. Add a "Run Custom Script" effect.
  5. Select Subtitle-Displayer.js from the dropdown menu. If you don't see it, click the refresh icon next to the dropdown.
  6. Click "Choose File" and select your .srt file.
  7. Configure the text display as you wish with the options available.

Now whenever the effect fires it should display the subtitles correctly. You can make your own subtitle files quite easily following this guide: https://www.3playmedia.com/blog/create-srt-file/
