Warpai 1.7.8.2
Warpai 1.7.8.2
Warpai 1.7.8.2 is a bugfix release for Agent MCP installation after the 1.7.8.1
server-name change. Saved local, SSH, and WSL records now migrate their install,
lookup, and cleanup commands to the current scope name. Inactive cleanup records
can be selected again from Settings. Existing user MCP entries and activation
choices are preserved.
Companion remains 5.5.0; SSH protocol major 1 and Agent Bus major 2 are unchanged.
Warpai 1.7.8.1
Warpai 1.7.8.1
Warpai 1.7.8.1 fixes a collision between local Agent MCP setup and SSH MCP
setup. Each scope now uses a distinct MCP server name:
- Local Agent:
warpai-local-com - SSH Agent:
warpai-ssh-com - Direct WSL Agent:
warpai-wsl-com
Configuration injection and cleanup preserve unrelated MCP servers and remove
only recognized legacy Warpai registrations. WSL remains a server-side
Companion scope and does not inject MCP into the local host configuration.
The MCP scope change passed the macOS, Windows and Linux cloud acceptance suites,
including local settings and Codex startup, SSH setup, configuration migration,
Companion protocol tests, and WSL integration checks.
Companion remains 5.5.0; SSH protocol major 1 and Agent Bus major 2 are unchanged.
Warpai 1.7.8
Warpai 1.7.8
Warpai 1.7.8 restores WSL sessions on Windows and SSH connections to remote
shells. Real-machine acceptance covered SSH connections to Linux, macOS and
Windows hosts as well as local WSL.
- Shorten the Windows PowerShell SSH bootstrap seed so the encoded input stays
below the console input limit, eliminating the hang at "Starting shell..."
when opening a Warpai shell on a Windows host. - Restore WSL auto-warpify when entering
wslfrom a Windows terminal by
preserving the pending configuration epoch during unrelated SSH updates. - Keep Zsh bootstrap injection in raw mode so initialization input stays hidden
before the user's prompt appears. - Add regression coverage for the minified Windows seed, the raw-mode subshell
initialization and the WSL polling epoch.
SSH to Linux, macOS, Windows and local WSL was verified on real machines.
Companion remains 5.5.0; SSH protocol major 1 and Agent Bus major 2 are
unchanged. Desktop packages are provided for macOS, Windows, Linux x64 and
Linux ARM64.
Warpai 1.7.7
Warpai 1.7.7
Warpai 1.7.7 corrects shell initialization visibility in local and SSH Zsh
sessions. Bootstrap input is now hidden while it is read, and normal terminal
settings are restored before the shell evaluates the bootstrap and user startup
files.
This patch release carries forward the unreleased 1.7.6 changes:
- Repair shared SSH workspace selection across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Add the SSH Remote master switch and per-account native MCP setup.
- Support native PowerShell startup for SSH connections to Windows.
- Report initial SSH Agent readiness and support guarded collaboration wakeups.
- Connect QoderCN sessions to Agent communication and show Qoder usage.
- Retain Linux x64 and ARM64 desktop packages and Companion 5.5.0.
SSH native MCP setup requires Companion 5.5.0. SSH connection repairs remain
compatible with Companion 5.4.0.
Warpai 1.7.1
Warpai 1.7.1
Warpai 1.7.1 adds native Linux desktop packages alongside dynamic task
supervision and safe application restart after language changes. The updated
Companion is version 5.4.0; SSH protocol major remains 1.
Linux desktop
- Add native Linux desktop packages for x86_64 and ARM64:
.deb,.rpm, Arch
.pkg.tar.zst, and AppImage. Linux builds target glibc 2.31 or newer. - Include systemd-logind keep-awake inhibition and safe application restart
after language changes. - Preserve the native Agent communication bridge, desktop identity, licensing
notices, provenance manifests, and package checksums.
Agent coordination
- Dispatch work to supervising Agents at any time; newly assigned tasks enter
the supervision list and completed tasks leave it. - Keep busy Agents' incoming tasks and messages queued in arrival order without
interrupting in-flight work. - Keep Companion MCP guidance active across multiple concurrent tasks.
See the repository documentation for installation requirements and supported
platform details.
Warpai 1.7.0
Warpai 1.7.0
Warpai 1.7.0 adds dynamic task supervision and safe application restart after
language changes. The updated Companion is version 5.4.0; SSH protocol major
remains 1.
Desktop
- Safely restart the application after language changes.
- Retain the native Agent communication bridge, resources, desktop identity,
licensing notices, provenance manifests, and package checksums.
Agent coordination
- Let the supervising Agent dispatch new work at any time. Newly assigned tasks
enter its supervision list, and completed tasks leave the list. - Keep busy Agents' incoming tasks and messages queued in arrival order without
interrupting in-flight work. - Update Companion MCP guidance to keep dispatch and supervision active across
multiple concurrent tasks.
See the repository documentation for installation requirements and supported
platform details. The Linux Companion package supports remote Linux hosts.
Warpai 1.6.5
Warpai 1.6.5
Warpai 1.6.5 repairs native Agent status and MCP participation, reduces input
latency, and makes participant names copyable. Companion is updated to 5.3.0;
SSH protocol major remains 1 and Agent Bus protocol major remains 2.
Agent status and communication
- Adopt Herdr screen rules across named Agents and aliases, including Antigravity
and Qoder/QoderCN, with supplementary rules for DeepSeek Harness, Auggie, Goose
and TRAE. Known clients with settled screens and no matching rule default to Idle. - Waiting for approval or an answer remains connected through MCP. New native
instructions stay queued until the prompt is eligible for guarded delivery.
Returning to Idle never acknowledges a message or completes a task. - WSL admission follows verified foreground process ancestry, including nested MCP
plugin hosts. A replaced native run can be rediscovered without applying stale
screen evidence; stale delivery commands remain rejected. - Companion-owned SSH Agent terminals use the same state rules and existing MCP
adapters, retaining original run, account, input, task and cancellation guards.
Responsiveness and panel
- Reuse unchanged terminal evidence instead of repeatedly copying native screens.
Classification, panel projection and local form queries run in background workers. - Keep Git branch queries outside the Broker lock shared with native input/output.
Revalidate admitted worktrees from their native metadata without launching Git
for repeated MCP authorization checks. - Reuse empty queue projections until communication changes, and stop unchanged
input guards or read-only queries from waking all waiting MCP clients. - Click a participant name in the Project or Worktree panel to copy its full name
to the native clipboard. Preserve drafts and existing selection controls. - Remove yellow unread/pending-work dots from the left vertical tabs.

runtimes and authentication remain environment-owned; shared background daemons
require verified per-session MCP binding. This release adds no telemetry or cloud AI.
Warpai 1.6.4
Warpai 1.6.4
Warpai 1.6.4 fixes Agent readiness, queued task delivery, language restart and
Windows WSL Companion installation. Companion is updated to 5.2.0; SSH protocol
major remains 1 and Agent Bus protocol major remains 2.
Agent readiness and task delivery
- Idle Codex sessions no longer appear to be working immediately after launch.
Startup acknowledgements and prompt edits preserve readiness for queued work.
Agent status stays consistent between the sidebar and collaboration panel. - Unsubmitted input in the Agent's native terminal no longer blocks queued tasks.
Warpai clears that native input at the idle prompt before delivering the task.
Draft text and attachments in Warpai's own input box remain available. - Permission requests, cancellation and active work still prevent automatic
submission. Task delivery retains native run and input guards.
Shared project context and native task threads
- Tracked tasks retain a stable logical thread with exact native process/run
bindings across retries, reviews and reassignment. - Agents receive a compact project bootstrap through MCP and fetch reusable
repository indexes, analyses, code snippets and design decisions by reference. - Task-associated memory proposals become current when the exact result revision
is accepted. Rejected or stale proposals do not replace accepted project memory. - The Send to Agent and task forms expose context-resource references. Local,
SSH and WSL use the same task and resource contracts.
Usage display
- Antigravity displays two usage pools: Claude/GPT and Gemini. Each displays
either its five-hour or weekly reading according to the existing account setting. - Other providers with five-hour readings use the same exclusive window choice.
Providers without that window retain their reported quota or balance.
Restart and Windows Companion
- Restart after changing the interface language now reopens the application.
- WSL Companion setup and recovery no longer fail during installed-Agent discovery
because of a nested asynchronous runtime. Installation acceptance now includes
a nonempty Agent scan. - Background Agent configuration and Companion probes suppress visible Windows
command windows. Interactive terminal processes retain their normal behavior. - Native WSL Agents bind to their foreground process's actual project, including
MCP hosts launched from a different package directory. Windows host Agents stay
separate from guest participation. - Windows-mounted WSL directories retain valid directory identities and inherited
file modes. Local/SSH/WSL pane switches preserve each tool's project authority. - Windows bundles the updated WSL Companion 5.2.0. Remote installers also contain
Companion 5.2.0. Update the desktop and Companion from this release.

Warpai 1.6.3
Warpai 1.6.3
Warpai 1.6.3 improves Agent delivery, project supervision and native remote
workspaces. Companion is updated to 5.0.0; SSH protocol major remains 1 and Agent
Bus protocol major remains 2. Update the desktop and Companion from this release.
Agent collaboration
- Use Send to Agent for ordinary messages or enable Track as task for
tracked assignments. Replies remain associated with the original request/task
and return to the immediate issuer. Busy Agents retain results in arrival order. - Project participants share observations, progress, questions, permission waits,
timeout/uncertainty and supervision decisions. Retried requests preserve their
identity. Timeouts do not automatically rerun work; Agents decide retry,
reassignment and acceptance against the current task revision. - Worktree collaboration recognizes the main checkout and manually started CLI
Agents. Coordinator selection preserves the existing native run. Worktree
removal checks terminals in open tabs and retains Git's checkout protections.
Windows, SSH and WSL
- Confirmed SSH/WSL terminal context governs collaboration and File Explorer
availability independently of local communication. Disabled communication or
unavailable Companion no longer causes repeated background launches. - Interactive WSL launches enter shell integration by default while respecting
opt-outs. Guest accounts and Agents remain scoped to the distribution/account;
separate terminals can work independently in the same guest project. - Companion installation/removal displays progress and retains failure details.
Trusted bundled recovery supports damaged or missing WSL installations while
preserving SSH, projects, shell profiles and unrelated files. - Missing local Git has an explicit localized explanation. Local Git features
require system Git; Companion's private Git supplies remote infrastructure and
does not replace Git in an interactive shell. See
feature dependencies.
Interface and usage
- Offer restart after changing interface language. Complete Simplified and
Traditional Chinese display strings and improve native Windows glyph fallback. - Keep Data usage at the panel bottom with its own bounded scrolling. API entry
and browser sign-in share one flow with a Back action. Separate Antigravity's
Gemini and third-party pools; configure five-hour usage detection per account. - Align expanded History controls and indent worktree details beneath headings.

This release adds no telemetry, bundled cloud AI or Warpai account requirement.
Warpai 1.6.2
Warpai 1.6.2
Warpai 1.6.2 adds Simplified and Traditional Chinese interface languages, moves
desktop configuration to ~/.config/warpai, and updates fresh-install and Reset
defaults. Companion remains 4.0.0 and protocol major remains 1.
Changes from 1.6.0
- Choose English, 简体中文 or 繁體中文 in Settings > Appearance > Language.
Restart Warpai to apply the selection throughout the interface, including
native menus, settings, collaboration, editors and accessibility labels.
Commands, terminal output, file contents, paths and user-provided names retain
their original text. - Desktop data and preferences use
~/.config/warpai. Existing data from
~/.config/.warpaiis imported without overwriting new-root values. Profiles,
themes, keybindings, sessions and collaboration history are preserved; source
files remain available for recovery. SQLite migration includes committed WAL
changes. Reset preferences are not reimported on later startups. - Fresh-install and Reset defaults reflect the owner's public interface and
terminal preferences, including the bundled Claude Warm Light theme. The dark
default uses built-in Dark. Accounts, credentials, project paths, history and
MCP server definitions are excluded from defaults. - Existing local, SSH and Windows WSL workspace features are retained. Remote
Companion installation paths and the 4.0.0 runtime contract are unchanged.

The Windows desktop installer includes the WSL guest payload. SHA-256 lists
cover all five public installers. macOS uses ad-hoc signing; Windows installers
are unsigned and may require first-launch approval.
Verification
Release requires source-matched macOS and Windows acceptance, migration/defaults
tests, translation checks and native screenshots in all three languages. The
1.6.2 technical specification
records the acceptance gates. Tagged installer, source, version and runtime checks
also run during packaging. Acceptance uses owned fixtures without personal
credentials or live vendor model requests.
