  • pvar files can contain extra columns
  • when pgscatalog-match reads pvar files with extra columns it can trigger polars.exceptions.ComputeError: found more fields than defined in 'Schema'
  • this problem mostly affects complex VCFs that get recoded
  • this PR writes a consistent column set during initial relabelling or recoding

closes #324

This should work. Although, it might be more useful to users if within match_variants/match_combine:

  • Read pvar header lines
  • map header lines to schema, set all other headers to str
  • drop non-standard columns

This would also allow us to run the matching directly on non-standard VCFs and make pygscatalog more robust.
