DELIX Kernel v0.3 — OS from scratch.

What it can do:

  • VGA terminal 80x25
  • Input from US QWERTY keyboard without sticking
  • Version and help commands
  • Works on any i386 PC with Legacy USB support

File structure
boot.asm — entry point with Multiboot header
kernel.c — initialization and main input loop (the kernel itself)
terminal.c / terminal.h — terminal implementation and keyboard processing
terminal_commands.c / terminal_commands.h — command table and handlers
linker.ld — kernel placement in memory at address 1 MB
Makefile — build with a single command

How to build?
make run — build and run in QEMU
make — build delix-kernel.iso

How to personalize
Change KERNEL_NAME and KERNEL_VERSION in terminal_commands.c
Add a new command — add one line to the commands[] table in terminal_commands.c
Write delix-kernel.iso to a USB flash drive using Rufus in DD mode
