  • View running sessions by machine, with session names and elapsed time.
  • Choose from 11 pushplus channels, including QQ, WeChat, and email.
  • Use the session name as the notification title.
  • Monitor remote sessions without installing notification services or hooks.
  • Share notification controls across local VS Code windows.
  • Store tokens in VS Code SecretStorage and suppress duplicate notifications.
  • Includes a new extension icon and an MIT license.

Installation

Download codex-session-notifier-0.0.21.vsix and use Extensions: Install from VSIX... in your local desktop VS Code.

Open the Codex Session Notifier status bar menu, select a channel, configure your pushplus token, and enable notifications.

Requirements

  • Desktop VS Code 1.73+; the Codex extension has its own requirements.
  • Local Python 3.7+ with sqlite3 and SQLite 3.24+.
  • For remote monitoring: non-interactive SSH access and remote Python 3.7+ with sqlite3.

Preview status

QQ receipt has been manually verified. Other channels have been checked against API contracts without real recipient-account tests.

Keep the local computer awake, with at least one VS Code window open and access to the monitored hosts.
