Release list
Medusa 0.4.4
Medusa 0.4.4.
Everything in 0.4.3, now with the module actually rebuilt on both platforms.
- The wallet's opening screen shows the build you are running.
cliPath()checks that the resolved wallet CLI exists before accepting it.resolveBin()
returns the bundle path unconditionally, so the legacybin/walletfallback was unreachable on a
packaged install and every wallet call failed with "wallet CLI not found". The wrapper now also
ships asbin/medusa-wallet, which is the name looked for first.- The sequencer is spawned with
--listen-address 127.0.0.1. Its own default is0.0.0.0and its
RPC has no caller authentication, so it was previously published on every interface. - The devnet sequencer config carries
funding_key, required since LEZ v0.2.2. Without it the
pinned sequencer refused to start, so devnet could not come up at all. medusa_coreno longer bundles the LEZ sequencer binaries. The default zone is the hosted
Paradox Computer clearnet zone and needs none. Fordevnet/diaphani, build
sequencer_servicefrom logos-execution-zone v0.2.4 with--features standaloneand run it on
port 3071 with--listen-address 127.0.0.1; the wallet adopts a sequencer already listening.
The wallet now says exactly this, naming the version, when a local zone has none.- Every package carries each platform under both variant spellings, so a Basecamp built from
source can install them, not only the AppImage. - The in-app updater watches for the downloaded file instead of waiting on an IPC reply that
cannot arrive for a package of any real size.
Built from 60337db on main. darwin-arm64 comes from the release-macos CI run; linux-amd64's
module is built from the same commit.
Which file
Install from the Package Manager if your connection allows. Basecamp fetches a package and its
dependencies together under a single 300-second deadline, and re-downloads a dependency even when
it is already installed - so a medusa_ui install moves ~76 MB. Below roughly 260 kB/s that cannot
finish. Download the file for your machine instead and use Settings -> Modules -> Install LGX
Package, which reads from disk and has no timeout. Install medusa_core first.

Medusa 0.4.3
Medusa 0.4.3.
- The wallet's opening screen now shows the build you are running.
medusa_coreno longer bundles the LEZ sequencer binaries. The default zone is the hosted
Paradox Computer · clearnet zone and needs no sequencer, so normal use is unchanged. The
localdevnet/diaphanizones now need a sequencer you run yourself: build
sequencer_servicefrom logos-execution-zone v0.2.4 with--features standaloneand run it on
port 3071 with--listen-address 127.0.0.1. The wallet adopts a sequencer that is already
listening. Dropping them took the package from 167 MB to 67 MB with every variant name included.- Every package now carries each platform under both variant spellings (
linux-amd64and
linux-amd64-dev,darwin-arm64anddarwin-arm64-dev), so a Basecamp built from source can
install them. Previously only the AppImage could. medusa_coreships the wallet wrapper asbin/medusa-walletas well asbin/wallet. Packaged
installs resolvemedusa-walletfirst and never fell back, which is why a packaged install
failed with "wallet CLI not found".- The in-app updater no longer waits on an IPC reply that cannot arrive for a package of any real
size; it watches for the downloaded file instead.
Which file
Install from the Package Manager if you can. On a slow connection, download the file for your
machine and use Settings -> Modules -> Install LGX Package (installing from disk has no
download timeout). Install medusa_core first.

Known issue
The Linux binaries in medusa_core are built on ubuntu-24.04 and require glibc 2.38+, so they
do not run on Ubuntu 22.04 or older. This is not new in 0.4.3.
