Medusa 0.4.3.

  • The wallet's opening screen now shows the build you are running.
  • medusa_core no longer bundles the LEZ sequencer binaries. The default zone is the hosted
Paradox Computer · clearnet zone and needs no sequencer, so normal use is unchanged. The
local devnet / diaphani zones now need a sequencer you run yourself: build
sequencer_service from logos-execution-zone v0.2.4 with --features standalone and run it on
port 3071 with --listen-address 127.0.0.1. The wallet adopts a sequencer that is already
listening. Dropping them took the package from 167 MB to 67 MB with every variant name included.
  • Every package now carries each platform under both variant spellings (linux-amd64 and
linux-amd64-dev, darwin-arm64 and darwin-arm64-dev), so a Basecamp built from source can
install them. Previously only the AppImage could.
  • medusa_core ships the wallet wrapper as bin/medusa-wallet as well as bin/wallet. Packaged
installs resolve medusa-wallet first and never fell back, which is why a packaged install
failed with "wallet CLI not found".
  • The in-app updater no longer waits on an IPC reply that cannot arrive for a package of any real
size; it watches for the downloaded file instead.

Which file

Install from the Package Manager if you can. On a slow connection, download the file for your
machine and use Settings -> Modules -> Install LGX Package (installing from disk has no
download timeout). Install medusa_core first.

Machine Files
Linux x86_64 medusa_core-0.4.3-linux-amd64.lgx, medusa_ui-0.4.3-linux-amd64.lgx, tip_jar-0.2.1-linux-amd64.lgx
macOS Apple silicon medusa_core-0.4.3-darwin-arm64.lgx, medusa_ui-0.4.3-darwin-arm64.lgx, tip_jar-0.2.1-darwin-arm64.lgx

The unsuffixed .lgx files carry every platform in one package.

Known issue

The Linux binaries in medusa_core are built on ubuntu-24.04 and require glibc 2.38+, so they
do not run on Ubuntu 22.04 or older. This is not new in 0.4.3.
