Installing an APK

Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default — when you open the file, allow "Install from this source" when prompted, then install normally. If the download seems to finish but never completes, turn off Play Protect's pre-install scan (Play Store app → profile icon → Play Protect → settings gear → toggle it off).

What's new since v1.1.2

Debt / Lending — completely rebuilt. No longer flat per-loan records — each person now has one running-balance account. Every Debit/Credit entry ties to a real account and updates its balance automatically (same overdraft protection as regular transactions). Export a full per-person ledger as a PDF.

App Lock — real reliability fixes.

• Fixed a false re-lock loop right after unlocking (caused by the mandatory ad's own screen transition being mistaken for the app being backgrounded)
• Fixed the lock surviving Android killing the app in the background — it now correctly remembers how long ago it was backgrounded instead of always demanding the PIN again
• Fixed a crash opening the lock screen in some navigation states

Ads — simplified. Removed the app-open and interstitial ads shown elsewhere in the app. Ads now only ever appear at two points, and only as an optional rewarded video you choose to watch: right after unlocking, and before exporting a report. If no ad is available (e.g. offline), you can always continue — nothing is ever blocked behind an ad.

Dashboard: now shows a reminder for anyone who still owes you money, right on the home screen.

Reports: added a calendar view — browse any month and tap a day to see exactly what happened on it.

What's new since v1.1.0

• Fixed a crash: turning on Fingerprint/Face unlock threw an error and didn't work at all — fixed (MainActivity needed to be a FragmentActivity)
• Forgot Password: verifies it's you via your PIN or biometric, then lets you set a new password — no email/SMS needed since everything's local
• Privacy Policy added and linked in-app (Settings → Help & Support)
• Fixed a couple of stale references to the Backup feature that was removed, and a placeholder support email that went nowhere
• App version now shown correctly everywhere instead of a hardcoded "1.0.0"

What's in this release

• Finished the migration off the old backend server — the app now runs fully offline on local on-device storage, no account/server required
• Login and Sign Up restored (phone + password, stored locally)
• New App Lock: PIN or fingerprint/Face ID to unlock after the app is backgrounded
• Fixed several features that were silently broken (Debts, Savings, Notifications, Reports) after the offline migration
• Accounts can no longer go negative — an expense or transfer larger than the available balance is rejected
• Tablet/large-screen layout fix — content no longer stretches edge-to-edge on bigger screens
• Various stability fixes (a couple of crash-prone spots on iOS, a broken image reference, a network call that shouldn't have existed in an offline app)
• Smaller downloads — removed unused dependencies and switched to per-device APKs instead of one large universal file
