Verdicts now come in colour. Every level gets a dot in front of it: green for read-only, orange for changes, white for cannot tell, red for destructive. The idea being that "DESTRUCTIVE" in the same font as everything else is easy to skim past at 5pm on a Friday, and a red dot is not.

Consoles that cannot encode those characters get the plain ASCII report instead, which covers older Windows code pages and anyone driving this over SSH. No mojibake, no row of question marks pretending to be a verdict.

A self-test you can run yourself. The README now has four lines that produce one finding at each level in a single run, plus the commands to check it on Windows, macOS and Linux. If the dots show, your console does Unicode. If clean ASCII shows, it does not, and both are correct answers. It also explains why SSH into a Windows box reports a different encoding than the desktop console does, which is the sort of thing that gets filed as a bug about twice a year.

Green means "this reads", not "this runs". A command can be perfectly harmless and still be rejected by GAM the moment you press enter, and the checker was happy to hand out READ-ONLY to a command GAM7 wants nothing to do with. It was always designed that way: the question it answers is what a command would DO, not whether the syntax is valid. That is now said out loud in the README, in the report footer, and with a worked example, because "it passed the checker" was starting to do more work than it earned.

Nothing about the detection changed. Same tables, same GAM7 7.48.07.
