BeatForge 4.7.6
New in 4.7.6
- Multi-core rendering: the tracks now render on several cores at once (on by default; switch it in the logo menu). Three full kits playing 16ths went from 5.9 % to 2.7 % CPU in our host test.
- Every Six-O, Eight-O and Nine-O voice uses less CPU on a single core too: a playing Nine-O kit about 28 % less, Eight-O 34 %, Six-O 34 %; an idle instance about two thirds less.
- Circuit fixes found on the way: the Nine-O kick's first milliseconds and the snare's onset are now the circuit's, not the solver's; the Eight-O rimshot is no longer cut short at hot COLOR; the Eight-O open hat's choke and onset are exact.
- Like the hardware: on all three machines the closed hat now chokes the open hat through the circuit, no mute group needed. The Nine-O's two hat tracks are one hi-hat circuit (both DECAY pots reach both), the Eight-O's hats and cymbal share the one oscillator bank, and the Six-O is monophonic in Hardware mode.
- The window size really comes back between sessions now, trimmed to your largest display.
- REX view: a step with a start/end lock no longer hides the rest of the loop while selected.
