Notcholino 0.28.2-alpha
Fixed
- Ghosting when an extension's page (Snap's) opens or closes: the page is a separate view that the notch's fade and clipping do not reach, so it now stays out while the notch grows and goes first when it folds, instead of showing outside the shape.
Snap 0.2.2-alpha
- A small Shake it! under the notch when you pick up a window (it can be turned off in the settings), so it is clear what opens it.
- More sensitive again, between the two before: three strokes of at least 60 points within 0.9 seconds.
Snap 0.2.1-alpha
- Shaking is much harder to trigger by accident: four strokes of at least 90 points within 0.8 seconds. Moving a window normally, even quickly, no longer opens the notch.
Snap 0.2.0-alpha
- The notch opens when you shake the window, not every time you drag one: grab a window and move it as you like, and shake it from side to side when you want to snap it. The old behaviour (open on every drag) is a choice in Settings → Extensions → Snap → The notch opens.
Notcholino 0.28.1-alpha
Fixed
- While the volume or brightness bar is showing in the notch, the pages can still be changed: the dots stay and swiping or scrolling sideways works. Before, the bar switched the gestures off for as long as it was there.
Notcholino 0.28.0-alpha
Added
- The extension API can read the calendar and the reminders over any span of days (
host.agenda(from:to:)), from the calendars you ticked in Notcholino's Calendar settings. Notchy uses it to answer “what do I have tomorrow?” (Notchy 0.3.0).
Notcholino 0.27.5-alpha
Changed
- The switch "Allow it to use Notchy's AI" now only appears for an extension that can actually ask the AI for something. Snap never does, so it no longer shows a switch that did nothing.
Notcholino 0.27.4-alpha
Fixed
- Settings → Extensions was broken in 0.27.3: the whole Settings window laid out taller than the screen and its sidebar scrolled out of place. The cause was a description text that, when the window worked out how small the page could be, wrapped one letter per line and reported a height of thousands of points. It is fixed, and the extension's own settings page can no longer make the window taller than it is. The page is now checked in the real Settings window, not only on its own.
Notcholino 0.27.3-alpha
Changed
- Settings → Extensions is now a list of your extensions, each with its own on/off switch, and a page beside it for the one you pick: what it is, whether it is on, its AI permission, Remove, and its own settings. Before, the settings of every extension shared one page and an extension could only be switched on or off from the store.
Fixed
- While Snap's page is open (a window in your hand) the notch no longer changes page when you scroll sideways or swipe. It only locks while that page is showing.
- While Snap's page is open the notch shows only that page: the small row of extension names (Notchy, Snap) that appeared on it is gone, and Notchy's page no longer flashes for a moment when the notch closes after a snap.
Notcholino 0.27.2-alpha
Added
- Reviews on the website: a Reviews section with the average, how the stars are spread, a filter by version and each review with its author, version and date. Reviews are written with a GitHub account through a form (1 to 5 stars, the version you use, a few words), so they are real people and tied to a version; Settings → About → Write a review of this version opens the form with your version filled in. One review per person per version; accounts must be two weeks old; nothing is removed for being negative, only spam and abuse; the maintainer's own reviews do not count. The site is rebuilt whenever a review is written, edited or hidden.
Fixed
- After Snap places a window the notch closes and stays closed, instead of opening on its own because the pointer is still over it.
- Settings is one window: asking for it again brings the existing one to the front instead of making another, and Notcholino becomes an ordinary app (Dock, Cmd-Tab) before it is activated, so it comes first in the switcher.
- Snap can place Notcholino's own Settings window like any other window (Snap 0.1.1).
