v1.0.0

@Pernoise Pernoise released this 02 Sep 12:50
Add launcher customization system (colors, fonts, live preview)

- New Style settings tab with categorized color/font editors: Title Bar,
  Left/Center/News Panel, Buttons, Text Colors, Splash Screen, Fonts & Headline
- Live preview popup for every category before Save/Apply/Cancel/Reset
- User-installable fonts via ~/.rogueclient/fonts/{headline,text}
- Theme persists to ~/.rogueclient/theme.json
- Log windows follow Center Panel color; Title Bar customization scoped to
  just the top strip instead of the whole launcher background
- Fix: Style tab was hidden behind Launch tab on open (never toggled at startup)
- Fix: scrollbars/sliders weren't picking up theme.css (class name mismatch)
- Fix: ColorPicker popup restyled to match dark theme instead of default gray
- Fix: DevTools nuke failed outright on Windows if the log file was locked;
  now releases the log handle first and skips locked files instead of aborting
- Fix: title bar X button silently minimized to tray instead of quitting
- Fix: gradle build task-ordering error under Gradle 9.5.1 (copyDeps vs
  distZip/distTar/startScripts sharing build/libs)
- New multi-resolution icon.ico/Logo.ico (was single 256px, causing an
  oversized/blurry taskbar icon)
- Splash screen: removed progress bar, added its own background color editor
- About panel: credits now read 'By Syndicate Software', added Terms/Privacy

Rogue Client v1.0

@Pernoise Pernoise released this 30 Aug 14:01
b1f9b77

Rogue Client v1.0
Rogue Client v1.0 is here, our first official release and the first since our rebrand. This version marks a major step toward a more stable, self-maintaining launcher, with instance backups, auto-updates, developer tools, and a full visual refresh with customizations.

Highlights:
Official v1.0 release, first version since the rebrand from Rocket Client
Added instance backups
Added auto-update support (experimental). The launcher can now update itself automatically on Windows. AppImage builds on Linux don't support this and will need to be updated manually
Added a Skin Manager
Added a Cape Changer, change your cape directly in the launcher without needing an external source
Added developer tools, including the ability to wipe the entire .rogueclient directory
Updated launcher fonts
Reworked the Tray Manager
Added experimental Startup on Boot support. The setting exists in this release, but the feature itself is not yet functional
General UI refinements and improvements
Added a full Style customization system in the settings panel — recolor the title bar, left panel, center panel, news panel, buttons, and text independently, with a live preview before saving anything
Custom fonts are now supported. Drop your own headline or UI fonts into .rogueclient/fonts/headline and .rogueclient/fonts/text and pick them from Settings
Headline size is now adjustable instead of fixed
The splash screen has its own background color, customizable separately from the rest of the launcher, and no longer shows the progress bar
Log windows (View Logs and the live launch log) now follow your Center Panel color instead of a fixed background
Added Terms and Privacy links to the About tab
Fixed: DevTools' "clear local data" could fail entirely on Windows if the log file was still in use; it now releases the file first and clears everything else even if one file is locked
Fixed: the window close (X) button could get stuck minimizing to the system tray instead of actually exiting the launcher
Fixed: the taskbar/app icon was a single oversized image and looked blurry or too large at small sizes; it's now a proper multi-resolution icon
Fixed: scrollbars and sliders throughout the launcher weren't picking up the dark theme correctly
Fixed: the color picker popup used a default light-gray style instead of matching the launcher

Thanks for following Rogue Client through the rebrand. v1.0 is just the starting point.
