Welcome to the wav2bar wiki! If you are looking for help on how to install Wav2Bar, want to get started, explore the features or just look at the FAQ, this is the right place for you!
It's important to note that this wiki is based on the latest released version (or beta while no release exists), however some notes may be mentioned concerning older versions of Wav2Bar. Unless you have a specific reason, it's better to keep Wa2Bar updated from time to time. It will allow you to benefit from new features, improvements and bug fixes.
Have fun!
Wav2Bar is a tool that lets you create audio visualization from an audio source, to then export it as a video. It is mainly designed for musicians and the audio industry that do not want to bother with complex video editors, or simply have a free tool to do visualization with a minimum of customization. If you are looking for very advanced control over your work, Wav2Bar is most likely not made for you.
The workflow is rather simple:
- First, you create a project, it's the right moment to choose the resolution, FPS, and the audio file.
- Then, you create the different objects that you need and customize them. You have the choice between different elements such as (of course) visualizers, but also text, images (which can be used to also make basic shapes like rectangles and ellipses), timers, particle flows, backgrounds...
- You can preview your work live as you change the settings (complex rendering ask more resources!).
- Finally, you export your video! The exported video matches the settings of the project.
