Fixed

  • Translation failed for everyone. Google and Microsoft's free translators now refuse requests that don't look
like they come from a browser, so every message ended in "cooling down after repeated failures". Envoy now sends a
    browser User-Agent to both.
  • Lobby and menu text showed up as messages. Lines with no player name in Latin script (for example "Game Mode",
"Allow Observers" or the lobby settings) are no longer translated or shown. A sender-less line in another script,
such as the wrapped end of a Chinese message, still is.
  • Installing text recognition looked frozen. Install all missing installs every pack behind one admin prompt.
The PowerShell window now says which language it is on and that each takes a few minutes, instead of Windows'
"Operation Running" bar, and the setup guide's list turns to Installed by itself.

Added

  • The Herald's Writ in motion: buttons lift and press, wax buttons tilt and brighten, seal switches slide and
stamp, banner tabs slide out and the chosen one sways, and boxes glow gold when you tab into them. Changing page
unrolls the charter and redraws its ink drawing stroke by stroke; two torches light the war table.
  • Overlay messages unfurl from their rod, their language seal stamps in, and they fade out like ink. On the reply
desk the translation writes itself, a candle flickers, and the desk folds away as your reply is sent.
  • Translator candles flicker, gutter while a translator rests, go out with a wisp of smoke when a key is refused and
relight when it works again. The setup guide's seals stamp in as you finish each step.
  • The Tale: a one-minute illustrated tour of what Envoy does, in six chapters. The setup guide offers it on its
last step; play it any time from About (Play the tale) or the tray. Space, Left, Right and Esc work, and screen
    readers read each caption.
  • Motion setting (Appearance › Accessibility): Follow Windows (the default), Full, Fades only or Off. With
"Show animations in Windows" off, Envoy keeps only fades. The overlay never runs a looping animation.

Changed

  • The settings window, the docs and the FAQ drop the old "doesn't touch the game" slogan and say what Envoy does:
it reads the screen like OBS and presses keys like a keyboard.

Fixed

  • On a short screen (768 px tall) the reply box no longer cuts off its footer: the quick phrases scroll, and "Seal and
send", Copy and the length counter stay on screen.

Which file? Most people want Envoy-win-Setup.exe: it installs Envoy for your Windows account only (no admin
rights) and keeps it up to date. Prefer no install? Download the portable Envoy.exe; it tells you about new
versions but never changes itself. The .nupkg, releases.win.json and RELEASES files are for
Envoy's updater; Envoy.cdx.json lists every package inside this release (a CycloneDX SBOM).

Verify your download: SHA256SUMS.txt lists the SHA-256 of Envoy.exe and Envoy-win-Setup.exe. In PowerShell,
Get-FileHash .\Envoy-win-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256 must match it (or run sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS.txt).
gh attestation verify .\Envoy-win-Setup.exe -R PinnerSinner/Envoy proves it was built by this repository's workflow.
