v0.75.13 - Teams sign-in fixed, automation visibility
Two reliability fixes: Microsoft Teams sign-in now completes, and automation runs are impossible to miss.
Microsoft Teams - sign-in completes
- the device-code flow previously died after sign-in: the OAuth client had no consent for Graph chat scopes (AADSTS65001). It now uses a first-party client fallback chain (Microsoft Office, which carries broad pre-consent, then Azure CLI) - if Microsoft refuses consent for one, a fresh code for the next client arrives automatically; just re-enter it
- token refresh with rotation: connected sessions no longer die after an hour - expired tokens refresh transparently (in the UI and inside the teams_* agent tools) and rotated tokens are re-encrypted and persisted
- staged error messages (expired code, declined sign-in, tenant consent refused - the last one needs an admin, now stated explicitly)
- tenant narrowed to work/school accounts (organizations)
Automation runs are always visible
- failures are no longer silent: a failed run now shows a Windows toast with the actual error and records a highlighted error entry (+unread) in the automation's conversation - previously failures went only to the console log
- completion and failure toasts now respect Settings > Notifications
- new per-automation Notify me when it finishes toggle (default on; the chat record is unconditional)
- editor and screen now document the real behavior: runs happen while the app is open (tray counts), execute in the Dotling's VM when the Linux sandbox is on, and schedules missed while the app was closed are caught up on the next launch
Install
- Installer:
Emberling-Setup-0.75.13.exe - Portable:
Emberling-Portable-0.75.13.exe - Existing installs upgrade in place or auto-update; settings, chats and VMs are kept
v0.75.12 - per-Dotling Linux VMs, browser control, agent store, auto-review
The agent gets its own computer - one private Linux VM per Dotling - plus real browser control, durable per-bot memory, and finer-grained autonomy controls.
Per-Dotling Linux VMs (WSL)
- Settings > General > Linux sandbox (WSL): install a base distribution once (one UAC prompt); every Dotling clones its own private VM lazily from that image - fully isolated filesystems, no per-bot download
- shell/file tools run inside the VM in POSIX bash without any approval prompt - the VM boundary is the isolation; user deny rules still apply
- Automations run headlessly in their Dotling's VM (scheduled + webhook-triggered) with zero interference; while a VM is unavailable, tools fall back to this computer with an explicit note and normal host-side approval gating
- Run now button on any automation for on-demand testing
Browser control
- 8 tools driving your installed Chrome/Edge over the Chrome DevTools Protocol (isolated persistent profile, no bundled Chromium): open / snapshot (numbered interactive elements) / click / type / scroll / read / screenshot / close
- real mouse + key events; screenshots embed into the chat; click and type sit behind the approval gate
Agent store - local, versioned, per-bot
- each bot gets a private document store on this device: write keeps a 20-revision history, read can fetch any revision, plus list / search / versions / delete
- the cloud AgentStoreService of the original, kept on your disk
Autonomy controls & integrations polish
- Auto-review rules: pattern-based allow / always-ask / deny overrides evaluated before the approval mode (plain text or /regex/), edited in Settings > General
- Automation webhooks: keyed
POST http://127.0.0.1:<port>/webhook/<id>?key=...triggers (loopback-only server) - Live streaming speech-to-text in voice mode (Web Speech API, keyless) with the Whisper-memo fallback
- link_preview tool (Open Graph / Twitter metadata) and an SSRF guard on all outbound web requests (loopback/private/reserved ranges rejected)
- KaTeX math rendering in chat
Platform
- In-app auto-updates: checks GitHub releases at launch and every 6 hours, downloads in the background, Restart-to-update banner (portable builds get a Get-it-from-GitHub button)
- refreshed architecture + agent-turn diagrams; README feature walkthrough and parity table updated
Install
- Installer:
Emberling-Setup-0.75.12.exe - Portable:
Emberling-Portable-0.75.12.exe(single exe, no install) - Existing installs upgrade in place (or auto-update); settings, chats and VMs are kept
EmberLing v0.75.11 — 3D Dotling mascots
EmberLing v0.75.11
The mascot got a glow-up: the Dotling faces (Orby, Scout, Forge, Echo, Tempo, Sentry) are now fully rendered 3D characters across the whole app — chat, onboarding, bot cards, and the face picker.

v0.75.9 - keyless agent tools (web search, commands, tasks)
Fixes web search, command execution and task execution end-to-end - including on the keyless Pollinations provider (no API key needed).
Fixed
- Web search now works keyless - Pollinations
openai-fastaccepts OpenAI tool declarations when streaming; the retiredmistralmodel id was replaced and saved ids self-heal toopenai-fast - Task execution on the keyless fallback - when a keyed provider fails (e.g. OpenRouter daily free quota), tool calls previously never reached the fallback; agents can now run commands, edit files and search on any provider
- Text-mode tool protocol for providers that reject the
toolsparameter: fencedtoolblocks, Mistral[TOOL_CALLS], GPT-OSS harmony leaks - and tool markup never leaks into the chat bubble - Tool-argument JSON recovery for raw Windows paths (
C:\Users\...), including the silent\t-> TAB corruption case - DuckDuckGo bot-wall fallback to the keyless instant-answer JSON API, with recover-via-
web_fetchhints - Keyless 402 free-limit backoff: multi-step turns wait out the 30-second throttle instead of failing
- Gateway-split tool calls (name and args arriving in separate slots) are merged
- Photo/clip generation retries honor
Retry-Afteron 402/429 and back off on transient 5xx - Empty provider completions retry once; every API tool_call now receives a result message
