Unable to remove a key binding

I'm using ConEmu and I'd like to remove the key binding of the Ctrl+Space behavior. But can't find a way to remove it.

Try to do this -Key Shift+Backspace -Function BackwardKillWord to overwrite. But instead of overwriting, it's adding an extra binding.

As a workaround, you could use:

Set-PSReadlineKeyHandler -Key Shift+Backspace -ScriptBlock {}

This way, nothing will happen with that key. Get-PSReadlineKeyHandler will report the key as bound to something, but you can ignore that.

I left it open because there should be a cleaner way, probably either:

Set-PSReadlineKeyHandler -Key Shift+Backspace -Function Unbound

or

Set-PSReadlineKeyHandler -Key Shift+Backspace -Unbound

The later is probably easier to discover.

Why not use Clear or Remove e.g.:

Remove-PSReadlineKeyHandler -Key Shift+Backspace

Hmm, that almost makes sense. But I'm lazy and that's more code and documentation to write. :)

it doesn't seem to be working, this is what I would like to have
unbind the Ctrl+Backspace to respect the shell's behaviour
I did this, and it's still get hooked by the empty script I think?

Do you know is there a way say bubble up the event?

There is no way to fall back to the default behavior for any key bindings - PSReadline takes complete control of command line editing and there's no way for multiple command line editors (e.g. the default one) to cooperate as they don't share any state.

In Windows mode, Ctrl+Backspace is bound to BackwardKillWord. Are you using Windows mode? If so, how does BackwardKillWord not work like what you expect?

If you're using Emacs mode, you can bind Ctrl+Backspace to BackwardKillWord.

I might also suggest not using ConEmu to repro - it's possible the issue is specific to ConEmu.
