  • Speaks MCP 2026-07-28: a request that names its version in _meta needs no initialize; server/discover, resultType on every result, and cache hints on tools/list.
  • A modern version we don't speak gets -32022 with the supported list.
  • Clients that still open with initialize keep working (2025-11-25 down to 2024-11-05).
