Where can we find the repository for `python3-proton-vpn-lib` (new dependency required in v0.46.1)?

c715816, included in v0.46.1, introduces a new dependency python3-proton-vpn-lib.

At the time of writing, I cannot find any repository under the @ProtonVPN organization which provides that dependency.

Searching for lib returns https://github.com/ProtonVPN/go-vpn-lib but it's in Go, apparently it is not python3-proton-vpn-lib.
And if I do a code search for proton-vpn-lib, it returns 3 files, all are files from this repo (python-proton-vpn-api-core), they are setup.py and Debian / Fedora package build scripts.

At the same time, I notice that there are published binaries in ProtonVPN's Debian and Fedora repos, such as:

Can you please provide the source code / publish the repository of python3-proton-vpn-lib to facilitate packaging in Arch Linux and other distros?

If the package will not be available as source, then we are forced to drop proton-vpn from the repository or keep it downgraded to the old version

Based on past experience, e.g. ProtonVPN/python-proton-vpn-network-manager#3, I suppose it's just that they forgot to make the repo public, or they are still doing some preparations before publishing the repo.

python3-proton-vpn-lib is probably FOSS based on the content from /usr/share/doc/python3-proton-vpn-lib/copyright in data.tar.xz in python3-proton-vpn-lib_0.1.1_amd64.deb:

Interestingly, the file says Upstream-Name: python3-proton-vpn-local-agent, which seems to be referencing https://github.com/ProtonVPN/local-agent-rs/tree/stable/python-proton-vpn-local-agent.

But I guess it may be a copy-and-paste error, because local-agent-rs seems to be a different library than python3-proton-vpn-lib, and local-agent-rs has no 0.1.1 version - local-agent-rs starts from version 1.0.0 and the latest is 1.4.5.

I'm reopening the issue because it seems that the proton-vpn-binary-status repository is required to build the Rust module in proton_vpn_lib_rs (a .so file).

Without the Rust module, you probably can't get a proper python3-proton-vpn-lib package.

Guys we're going to remove proton-vpn-lib as dependency in a very soon update, as it depends on other projects that are managed by other internal teams. Stay tuned for the update for core-api.

Quick update, by next week we'll have a new version that will not require this as a dependency, until then you can if you really want to build it just edit the files and remove the dependency, otherwise wait until next week for new release.
