Rebased on next and added in SPI support.

Just a heads-up: avr-device 0.3.1 was just released with the 8U2 support.

Sweet! Thanks! I've been working on some other things recently but hoping to get back to this in the next week or so.

Hello I believe I have properly updated this PR you can merge my changes from here into this PR. However, I do not have the hardware to test these changes so they were made blindly.
