Threadforge v0.4.0 — E-ink Banner, MCP Ecosystem Expansion, Memory Feedback & Vercel AI Telemetry

Threadforge v0.4.0 introduces an e-ink visual style redesign, multi-harness MCP bootstrap expansions (DeepSeek Harness, ZCode, OpenHands, Kimi Code, Qoder), Vercel AI SDK v7 telemetry integration, structured local memory feedback tracking, signed Mancode legacy plan review paths, and cross-platform runtime reliability improvements.

1. Visual Identity & Documentation Overhaul

  • E-ink Style Poster: Redesigned the primary project banner (assets/threadforge-banner.png) to a clean, minimalist monochrome e-ink / e-paper aesthetic with technical linework.
  • Modernized Documentation: Restructured README.md with responsive visual badges, executive ASCII architecture flowcharts, and a comprehensive 20+ harness capability matrix.

2. Agent Harness MCP & Adapter Expansions

  • DeepSeek Harness MCP Patch Renderer (6b5a99e): Added deterministic MCP patch rendering and format validation for DeepSeek Harness.
  • ZCode & Qoder MCP Bootstrap (6b09693, 15a6755): Added project-scoped MCP bootstrap installers for ZCode and Qoder CLI environments.
  • OpenHands & Kimi Code Adapters (98fbe6d, d41b9d0): Added OpenHands global MCP configuration manager and Kimi Code project MCP bootstrap.
  • Aider Procedure Integration (363712a): Supported explicit, privacy-audited procedure loading for Aider.

3. Agent SDK Observability & Telemetry

  • Vercel AI SDK v7 Telemetry (6069cf1, 209bb45, 3a1bbb8, 80d3cfd): Added telemetry instrumentation for Vercel AI SDK v7 with strict prompt/completion body suppression and loopback export validation.
  • Metadata-Only OTel Span Processor (2167583): Added generic span processor ensuring local privacy scrubbing before local ingestion.

4. Governed Memory Feedback & Task Continuity

  • Local Memory Feedback Subsystem: Introduced threadforge memory feedback commands with append-only revision logging and JSON Schema validation (schema/memory-feedback-*.json).
  • Copilot CLI & OpenCode Injection (d5f7c27, c3ad668): Added prompt-time approved memory injection for Copilot CLI prompts and OpenCode user queries.
  • Qwen Task Resume Context (95b299e): Enabled opt-in task continuity resume context for Qwen Code.

5. Migration Gating & Cutover Safeguards

  • Signed Review for Mancode Plans (3d95f84, 61255a6): Enforced cryptographic attestations and plan verification before allowing cutover of legacy Mancode plans.
  • Safe Artifact & Evidence Validation (d18cf15, 547af42, 3496d60): Validated legacy migration paths and protected references to external artifacts.

6. Cross-Platform Hardening & Test Isolation

  • Windows Hardlink Fallbacks: Added atomic creation fallbacks in procedure/project stores and distillation caches when hardlinks fail under restricted Windows tokens.
  • Loopback & Cleanup Probes: Enhanced cleanup for Git object directory trees and added graceful environment probes for AppContainer loopback socket testing.
