How do I install this mod?

  1. Download Minecraft v1.17.1 - 37.1.1 on https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/ (If you don't have it, click on this link, which will directly download the installer https://maven.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.17.1-37.1.1/forge-1.17.1-37.1.1-installer.jar)
  2. Run the jar file with java. If you don't have it, you can install java from here https://www.java.com/en/download/
  3. Go to the Java Edition install directory (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft) and find a folder named "mods" (or make one)
  4. Copy (or cut) and Paste RedWiresMod.jar into that folder
  5. you're done :)))

Does this mod have a specific theme?

no lol, I just thought of mod ideas in my head and then made it real.

Weapons

  • Lava Bow (Combine a Bow and a lava bucket with a Smithing table)
  • Water Bow (Same as Lava Bow, but with Water Buckets. And no, you can not use this to sneak water into the nether.)
  • TNT Bow (Combine as the Lava Bow once again, but replace the lava bucket with a TNT block.)
  • Block-Placing bow (The block placed is based on the last slot of your Hotbar (slot 8), to craft it, you smith a bow and a Dispenser)
  • Sandgrave Bow (instantly spawns a 9x9x5 (Length, Width, Height) sand pit, used mainly to suffocate an enemy. Totally not a reference to anything in particular)
  • Real Knife (Unobtainable in Survival, deals 99 damage)
  • Molotov (burns a 5x5x5 area and can be thrown slightly further than potions)
  • Ice Bow (Traps an entity in ice based off it's width and height. Craftable just like the lava bow except with a snow block)
  • Flame Thrower (Burns a 3x3x3 area)
  • Chainsaw (Added as part of nightmareMode, deals 100,000 damage.)

Foods

  • Cooked Egg (heals 5 hunger bars)
  • Cooked Cactus (Green Dye is instead crafted like every other dye, heals 5 hunger bars)
  • Baguette (bread but l o n g, combinable with 2 pieces of bread and 10 hunger bars (x2 bread), as you'd probably expect)
  • Burger (combination of Bread and Cooked Beef, heals 13 hunger bars)
  • Recall Potion (Only obtainable in Survival via killing Slimes or Magma Cubes (small ones only) with a 6% chance of success, this increases by another 3% for each level of Looting. Teleports you to the Surface (if you are not already there) and then to the last place you right clicked a bed. If you did not set a spawn point, the default will simply be the world spawn point. This is named as a potion but it's built off of the base of a food item, I made it show up in the Brewing category anyway.)

Non-food Items

  • Wither Spawn Egg
  • Iron Golem Spawn Egg
  • Ender Dragon Spawn Egg
  • Illusioner Spawn Egg
  • Snow Golem Spawn Egg
  • Wolf Item Manager (right-clicking on a tamed wolf lets them pick up loot. if they currently have something equipped, they'll drop it to you).
  • Block Replacing Stick (replaces any block with the last slot in your Hotbar aka slot 8. you also get the block you replaced back)
  • Auto-Bridger (automatically places block below you, block being based on slot 8 of your inventory, aka the last slot of your hotbar)
  • Godly Apple (Like the Glistering Melon, you cannot eat it but you can use it for brewing)
  • Slime Trap (Applies Slowness II to an entity upon being stepped on. Does not apply for entities with Slowness II or higher, but does for entities with Slowness I)
  • Land Mine (self explanatory)
  • Ender Stick (Increases your reach distance to 32 and allows you to teleport anywhere within that range. Damages you for 4 hearts like an ender pearl.)
  • Entity to Spawn Egg Converter (has a registry name of entity_egg_converter for the sake of name shortening. Does not work properly with named mobs, though you could rename a mob (ex: a wolf) to another entity (ex: "wither") and you would get the wither spawn egg)
  • Fire Extinguisher (Extinguishes a 5x5x5 area)
  • Upvote, used to make the Amplifier Increaser potion
  • Heart Of Steel, used to make Invincibility potion
  • Infinity, used to make the Item Duping and Time Reversing Alt potions if used with a regular Time Reversing potion
  • Hourglass, used to make the Time Reversing potion
  • Non Fungible Token, used to make the NFT potion

Potions (and effects)

  • Flying (brewable with a shulker shell)
  • Levitation (brewable with a flying potion and fermented spider eye)
  • Withering (Brewable with a wither rose)
  • Debuff Immunity (brewable with a Godly Apple)
  • Buff Immunity (brewable with a Debuff Immunity potion and a fermented spider eye)

  • Mining Fatigue (brewable with a Haste potion and a Fermented Spider Eye)
  • Absorption (brewable with a Golden Apple)
  • Resistance (brewable with an Enchanted Golden Apple)
  • Nausea (brewable with Poisonous Potato)
  • Dolphins Grace (brewable with a tropical fish + any swiftness potion that isn't swiftness II)
  • Luck + Unluck potions (Unobtainable in survival.)
  • Glowing (brewable with awkward potion and glowstone dust)
  • Blindness (brewable with a glowing potion and a fermented spider eye. When applied to regular entities, their follow range changes to 2)
  • Hunger (brewable with Rotten Flesh)
  • Fragility (effected entities take x2 more damage from all sources, brewable with a resistance potion and fermented spider eye. Brewable with a Resistance potion and fermented spider eye)
  • Invincibility (completely prevents most damage from happening unlike Resistance V... except for the /kill command, and chainsaw damage apparently. Brewable with Heart of Steel)
  • Item Duping (changes the stack count for the item you hold in your main hand + off hand to 64 for each tick. Brewable with the infinity item)
  • Milk potion (made this purely to not have to remove effects from entities with the /effect command. Brewable with a bucket of milk)
  • Time Reversing (Increases all non-instant effect time on the player. I don't know why I made this!!!!!!!!!!!! Higher amplifier = greater time increase. Brewable with the Hourglass)
  • Time Reversing Alt (Time Reversing, except it also increases its own time. Brewable with an Infinity item and a Time Reversing potion)
  • Amplifier Increaser (self explanatory. Brewable with Upvote)
  • Death Countdown. self explanatory.
  • Fling. Higher amplifier = more intense fling.

Game rules

  • doFunnyVineBoom (plays the vine boom sound effect when damaged)
  • doKillCreepers (I hate creepers, so I made this so a creeper instantly dies once they target you. If you find this OP, simply don't enable it lol)
  • keepPoints (If you die and keepPoints is enabled, you keep your balance and Points-Per-Minute. If disabled, both are reset to 0.)
  • doSlimeSpawning (toggles whether slimes should spawn or not, Magma Cubes are also included.)
  • respawnLastClickedBed (respawns you to wherever you last right-clicked a bed, whether it's destroyed or not in the overworld.)
  • insanityMode (Gives you the fragility effect with an amplifier of 255 and is unremovable)
  • imFuckingPissedMode (the polar opposite of insanityMode where you can one-shot about every entity, for the sake of releasing your anger on block game.)
  • relentlessFire (magma blocks set you on fire + being on fire will spawn more fire on blocks unless you can extinguish yourself)
  • nightmareMode (Makes minecraft even harder, an idea my friend came up with. What this mode does:
  • Gives you a death countdown that is 20 minutes long. Chests are scattered around the map that have the time reversing potion that push the countdown back by 3 minutes.
  • Begin with 10 health points instead of 20. Increasing your max health is by equipping armor with a protection value over 10.
  • Creepers have an explosion force of 64 instead of 3.
  • Raw meat has a 90% chance to give you poison III for 50 seconds.
  • Cooked meat has a 5% chance to give you poison I for 20 seconds.
  • Being lit on fire gives you the fragility effect for 60 seconds.
  • Ender dragon hits have a 10% chance to launch you off the map (through applying fling III for 2 seconds)
  • Pillager commanders wield chainsaws.
  • Taking drowning damage (or any damage while drowning) pushes you into the water, similar to early minecraft versions.
  • Automatically changes a few other gamerules to the following:
  • universalAnger: true
  • forgiveDeadPlayers: false
  • doKillCreepers: false
  • Oh... and don't try drinking milk to get rid of the death countdown effect. That's only going to kill you faster.)

Misc stuff

  • Bonemeal is useable on sugarcanes.
  • Regeneration potions can be made into Poison potions with a fermented spider eye.
  • Increased all wood block (except for planks) (log/wood/stripped log/stripped wood) smelting time from 300 -> 1200 ticks (6 items)
  • Increased all wood pressure plate smelting time from 300 -> 600 ticks (6 items)
  • Increased all wood boat smelting time from 1200 -> 1500 ticks (7.5 items)
  • Increased all wood doors smelt time from 200 -> 600 ticks (3 items)
  • Increased stick smelt time from 100 -> 150 ticks (0.75 items)
  • Increased crafting table smelt time from 150 -> 1200 ticks (6 items)
  • Increased all wood sign smelt time from 150 -> 650 ticks (3.25 items)
  • Increased all wood fence gate smelt time from 150 -> 1200 ticks (6 items)
  • Increased all wood fences smelt time from 150 -> 500 ticks (2.5 items)

Shitpost stuff

  • Uno Reverse Card (Like the thorns enchantment, but funni. Unobtainable in survival cause this would be way too OP. Gives you the Invincibility effect for 3 seconds upon being hit and then damages the entity for what they tried to damage you for.)
  • The shit block. Don't think I need to elaborate on this any further
  • Laxatives. Using this on any entity will make it shit 64 shit blocks, except for chickens which shit eggs instead. Can be consumed for 1 hunger bar and be eaten even if your hunger bar is full to apply the fard effect to yourself.
  • Fard effect, used for laxatives only.
  • NFT Potion + Effect (effected entities go into crippling debt and then fucking die)
  • Seizure potion (Makes an entity violently and randomly teleport to random locations for each tick. The higher the amplifier, the more random and violent the teleportation)
  • Cranking 90's Effect (effected entities do the same thing as a seizure potion except they go continuously upward and spawn oak planks below them. Brewable with a seizure potion and autobridger)
