v0.2.3
Caution
IMPORTANT: Go into the game's In-Game Audio Settings and TURN OFF the DJ Voice.
🏁 Every race gets a fresh song!
The Audio Core Engine keeps paying off. This round, every race kicks off with a brand-new song, festival drive-throughs stop pausing your music, and song changes get a lot smoother. 🎯
🎵 Fresh song at race start
🎪 No more festival pause
🎚️ Smoother song changes
🎵 NEW: A fresh song for every race
Press Start Race in the pre-race menu and the radio skips to the next song, so every race starts on something new. Back out to free roam instead? The song you had keeps playing. 🙌
It's on by default. Settings in spotify-radio\config.ini:
race_start_skip: true = skip on race start (default), false = keep the song you had
🛠️ v0.2.3: Bug Fixes
🎪 Festival pause
Driving into a festival could pause your music by mistake. The race-start pause now only reacts to a real race start, which aims to resolve that.
🎚️ Smoother song changes
You could sometimes hear a small skip or stutter when one song ended and the next one started. Song changes now follow the game's own signals instead of timers, which aims to resolve that.
⚠️ Known issue: choppy audio
In rare cases the music can turn choppy mid-song. Switching to another station and back should fix it.
⚠️ Known issue: won't connect?
In rare cases the phone's Spotify app stays stuck on "connecting". Force-quit the phone app and connect again.
⚠️ One radio mod at a time
This uses the same D3DCompiler_47.dll as the YouTube Music version, FH2 Streaming Radio YTM, so you can only run one of the two. They use separate folders, and you can copy your MUSIC folder between them.
Install / update
- Drop
D3DCompiler_47.dlland thespotify-radiofolder next toAzimuth.exeand replace the old files. - Heads-up: replacing
config.iniresets any settings you changed by hand. YourMUSICfolder, logo.pngand login cache are never touched. - Turn DJ Voice OFF in the in-game Audio Settings, then switch to Horizon XS.
Something wrong?
Set log_level = debug under [advanced] in spotify-radio\config.ini, play, then send spotify-radio\spotify-radio.log. Put it back to info afterward.
