Ambient lights

Please note : This feature is experimental as available "as is".

Adalight support.

Simhub supports adalight compatible through its dedicated plugin.

Bluetooth Lights

Most bluetooth flow lights powered by the Happy Lighting app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiaoyu.hlight&hl=fr&gl=US) should work.

NB there are many models and variations coming from china and it's not possible to give a detailed list of the compatible models. Overall please stick to flood lights.

Govee Lights

Since simhub 8.3.0 "dreamview" compatible govee lights are supported.

  • Your device must be "dreamview" compatible : see list here https://www.govee.com/desktop/devices (only trust this list and verify the model you are buying is listed)
  • Make sure to enable Lan control from the mobile app for each device you want to control. Devices must be connected to your home wifi.

Restrictions/known govee issues/FAQ :

  • Only 10 indepent segments maximum are available, no matter how many individual leds can be controlled from the app (it's a firmware issue)
  • Sometimes the govee lights might no connect/respond : restart your network adaptater or your computer to reset the network stack.
  • Some older govee lights referenced as compatible might be older hardware revisions and won't offer lan control option.

About expanding support to other brands/models

Since support possibilities for an unknown model are completely random (protected communications or integrated smoothing/transitions effects removing any interest for the ambiant light purpose) I don't plan to add other brands. Those lights being already working and extremely affordable.

Here we are !
