Sentient OS for Windows 2.7.0 — unsigned preview

Windows 2.7.0 — unsigned preview

The Windows 2.7 build includes the Mac-main feature sync, corrected Right Alt keycap and notification placement, and a small translucent top shortcut that is on by default and can be disabled in Settings.

This preview is not digitally signed because Azure identity validation/certificate setup is still pending. Windows may show an unknown-publisher/SmartScreen warning. Automatic updates remain disabled; installation is manual.

Download SentientOS.App-win-Setup.exe for installation, or SentientOS.App-win-Portable.zip for the portable app.

Verification: both default and Unicode-path install/uninstall cycles passed on fresh Windows Server 2025 runners, including Welcome loading, four shortcuts, installed-app smokes, hook cleanup and profile preservation. Local checks passed 218 UI cases, 78 captures (77 baseline comparisons plus one dynamic film capture), 32 non-UI projects, synthetic-source RTX analysis journeys and the native computer-use check. Skipped opt-in integrations, full website movie visual review and the physical October 29 3 AM wake are not claimed by these results.

This Windows prerelease leaves the latest macOS release unchanged.

Known compatibility investigation: a later 2.7.1 first-run analysis on the development PC crashed at a detoured DXGI swap-chain-release entry with RTSS loaded. The complete cause is not proven; the 2.7.1 candidate is held pending investigation and full-journey verification. No claim is made that this preview resolves that intermittent native fault.
