Release list
Tensile 0.3.2
New
- Workflow steps for every method: the step list now offers GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests and MCP tool calls. POST, PUT and PATCH steps start with a JSON body to fill in. You can still change a step's method in its settings.
- MCP tool calls in workflows: a step calls a tool on an MCP server with your arguments, checks the answer with Tests and can save values from it for later steps. Use Run once; stress and journey tests send HTTP requests only.
- Sample workflows inside the app: Workflows > Samples opens a shop sign-in to cart flow, a create, read, update and delete flow using every method, and an MCP flow that starts Tensile's practice MCP server for you. Export saves any of them as a file.
- Run a collection from the command line, for example in CI:
tensile runsends every saved request once and checks it with its Tests (add--workflowsfor workflows),tensile loadruns saved load tests and judges their pass criteria, andtensile fmtkeeps request files tidy. Reports in JUnit, Markdown and JSON, and a summary on the GitHub Actions run page. - Secrets for command-line runs come from
TENSILE_VAR_<name>or--var, and are hidden as[secret]in all output.
Improved
- Request files are smaller and easier to review in git: only what you changed from a new request is saved, a JSON body is saved line by line, and renaming a request renames its file. Older files still open and change only when you save them.

Tensile v0.3.1
New
- Journey stress test: many virtual users each run the whole workflow (sign in, browse, order) again and again at the same time, each with its own values such as its login token. See journeys per second, how many succeed, journey times and every step's figures live, with a report at the end. Step by step is still there to find the weakest step.
Fixed
- MCP checks only pass when something was actually proven. "Refuses requests without credentials" and "Rejects requests from other websites" now say "could not check" after a timeout or server error instead of passing, and the hidden-instruction scan no longer passes when the tool list could not be read.
- MCP load tests count answers that report an error as failures, not successes.
- Calling an MCP tool with no checks set up no longer says "no issues found"; a tool that answers with no content is pointed out.
- Tokens, passwords, keys and cookies are masked before run history is saved. Credentials typed into open or unsaved requests are kept in your system's keychain instead of in plain files. History saved by older versions is cleaned up once, on the first start.
New
- A short guided tour on first start shows where everything is. Skip it, or replay it any time from Tour at the top right.
- Report: after any send, load test, data run, MCP check or workflow run, Report opens a detailed report of what was sent, what came back and why a check failed. Save it as HTML or JSON to share.
- Updates install from inside the app: when a new version is out, a small download button appears in the bottom-left corner.
- Your open tabs come back when you reopen Tensile, including unsaved requests and edits you had not saved yet.
- Recent: every request you send or load-test, and every workflow you run, is listed under Recent in the sidebar, newest first.
- Swipe a row left to remove it, or right to save it into a collection or folder. Saved requests can be moved between folders and collections.
- Import cURL: paste one or more curl commands (for example from a browser's "Copy as cURL") to open them as requests or save them into a collection.
- Several workflows can be open at once, each in its own tab.
Improved
- The sidebar is narrower, can be resized by dragging its edge, and has a search box for collections and for workflows.
- New workflows are numbered, so two new ones are easy to tell apart.
Fixed
- The method menu no longer closes when you scroll it.
