V1.1 Release Notes

We are pleased to release V1.1 of SnailAddin for SolidWorks. This update focuses on enhancing batch custom property management, BOM export, and BOM check workflows.

Feature Highlights

Import Custom Property Management

Define Properties: Define multiple property names and values in one go.

Batch Import: Import properties from Excel / text files into multiple parts with one click.

Type Support: Supports expression, date, text, and other property types.

BOM Export

One-Click Export: Export assembly BOM to CSV in a single click.

Extended Columns: Extract custom properties as additional columns.

Batch Processing: Export multiple assemblies simultaneously.

BOM Check

One-Click Comparison: Paste BOM → click Check → instantly see differences.

Four Difference Types: Clearly identifies extra, missing, quantity mismatch, and duplicate entries.

Non-Modal Window: The check window floats on top of SolidWorks, so you can review the model while checking.

Multi-Level / Single-Level Modes: Supports both full hierarchical BOM and flattened single-level BOM comparison.

Color Coding: "Same" in green, "Not Same" in red, new rows highlighted in light yellow — easy to spot at a glance.

One-Click Export: Export CSV for ERP, or Excel with color formatting for manual review.

Installation

Close SolidWorks.

Run the installer SnailAddin-Setup-v1.1.exe.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Restart SolidWorks.

If you have a previous version installed, simply run the new installer to upgrade.

颜色标记：Same 绿字、Not Same 红字、新增行浅黄底，一眼分清。

一键导出：CSV 给 ERP，Excel 带颜色给人工审阅。

安装方式

关闭 SolidWorks。

运行安装包 SnailAddin-Setup-v1.1.exe。

按提示完成安装。

重启 SolidWorks。
