First public release of fnpm on npm (npm install -g fnpm).

  • Bun conformance: 8,787 of the ported tests pass (79.4%, up from 55.2%).
  • fnpx shows resolve and install progress.
  • Lockfiles from npm, pnpm, Yarn and Bun are migrated automatically with a notice; node_modules/.bun and .pnpm layout links.
  • Peer dependencies are restored after yarn.lock migration.

Native archives for macOS, Linux (glibc and musl) and Windows on arm64 and x64. The npm package downloads the one for your platform and checks its SHA-512, embedded in the package.

fnpm@0.0.2 uses a single npm package with four commands: fnpm, fnpm-lock, fnpx and fnpmx. Its postinstall downloads only the matching native archive from this release, verifies the SHA-512 embedded in the npm tarball, and installs both native launchers and the Rust addon. No binding or platform npm packages are dependencies of this release.

Once public npm publication is verified, install with:

Node 20.19+ is required. Eligible Unix installs replace the bin shim with the native executable. Windows, pnpm and Yarn Berry keep a Node shim. If scripts are disabled or postinstall cannot download, first execution retries the native installation and needs access to these assets. npm versions that require script approval can use --allow-scripts=fnpm for automatic native-bin swapping.

Native builds cover macOS arm64/x64, Linux arm64/x64 with glibc or musl, and Windows arm64/x64. SHA512SUMS and provenance.json identify the exact archives, npm tarball integrity, source commit and CI run.

Validation: all 21 CI jobs passed, including normal and disabled-script single-package installs on all eight native targets. Fresh macOS arm64 installs from the candidate npm tarball passed both modes using these public GitHub asset URLs: four commands, native execution, internal addon loading in fresh processes, TS command dispatch, local dependency execution and offline/frozen reinstalls. Public npm publication is pending local authentication; these checks do not establish registry availability.

The previous scoped @tiktok-fe/fnpm@0.0.1 and its platform packages remain unchanged. Full Bun conformance and the strict performance gate remain open; see the repository roadmap and measured benchmark reports.
