Moneo v0.0.2 (pre-release)

⚠️ Pre-release. Tested on a Samsung Galaxy S20+ and the Android emulator; other devices unverified.

What's new since v0.0.1

• In-game reading helper (Korean 2024 ROM): lists the words in the open message box, in the overworld, houses and battles.
• 💬 Ask about the screen: sends the screen to Claude Code running in Termux; answers come back in simple Korean. Optional — see the README.
• Area vocab gate: learn enough of the next area's words before moving on; tap the lock chip to study them. Areas you've already visited never block.
• Flashcards: real game lines as examples, hanja breakdowns, loanword origins (시티 ← "city"), a walking audio review graded with earbud taps, and 800+ more decoded strings and mined words.
• Study words → Google Doc for a Claude project, via the 💬 watcher.
• On-device Korean ROM setup: patch a Japanese LeafGreen dump into the 2024 Korean ROM inside the app.
• Fixes: in-game saves persist across app closes; map IDs read correctly (dungeons get vocab); no tile charged for the area-gate bounce step.

Install

1. Download moneo-v0.0.2-debug.apk below.
2. On an Android 8.0+ phone with a hardware step counter, allow installing from your browser/files app (Settings → Install unknown apps).
3. Install, launch Moneo, then pick your own legally-obtained LeafGreen .gba.

Upgrades v0.0.1 in place (same signing key), keeping your progress.

Notes

• Debug build — fine for sideloading/testing.
• Step-gating needs a real device; emulators don't report TYPE_STEP_COUNTER.
• Korean features target the 2024 Korean fan-translation; the English US Rev 1 ROM runs with step-gating only.
