Alerts and Notifications

Bg Level Alerts

  • Here you can create multiple High and Low alerts for different times of day and different BG levels.

  • Please note that your lowest high must be higher than your highest low (and vice versa!)

    • Alert Name - Just the name the alert shows as
    • Threshold - Alarm will sound once this value has been crossed
    • Default snooze - once the notification is dismissed, how quickly do you want it to alarm again if you are still beyond the Threshold(in minutes)
    • Re-Raise - How persistent do you want it to be if its is not acknowledged, it will re-raise the alert this many minutes apart until the notification is snoozed
    • Alert tone - The sound that will play when you it Alerts
    • Time of day - Choose between all-day or a start and end time for the alerts to be active, helpful when you don't want to be nagged as much at night
    • Override silent mode - This will tell the phone to try and play the sound even if your phones volume is all the way down, please test that this works on your device before trusting it!
    • presnooze (On already saved alerts) - You can snooze an alarm before it happens if you don't want it to go off while you are say, at a meeting or are treating it currently!

Bg Alert Settings

  • Alert profile

  • Silent - Your alerts wont make any sound no matter what you chose before, they will however show Notifications

  • Vibrate Only - the LOW 55 alert will still play sound after 2 vibrates without being acknowledged, the rest will only show notifications and Vibrate

  • Medium - Your alerts will play the sounds you chose when building the alert at a moderate volume

  • Ascending - The first two attempts will be silent but still vibrate, each one after that will get slightly louder until it is acknowledged

  • High - Its going to play at the max volume your device supports

  • Smart Snoozing

  • If an alert is snoozed and that snooze is about to end, the last 3 readings are checked.

  • it will NOT re-alarm if it sees that you have improved at least 4 points since the last reading and 10 points since the reading before that (This may change to percentage base)

  • Smart Alerting

  • the same as smart snoozing but applies when you are crossing from a high priority alert to a lower priority alert

  • Shortcut to Bg Alerts

  • Places the bg alerts in the main menu of the app for quicker editing

Calibration Alerts

  • Standard alerts, these alerts are not persistent and auto snooze themselves
  • Note that override silent relays on a different mechanism than the BG alerts and may not work on some devices
  • Not available to share users

Other Alerts

  • Noisy value alerts - If you are getting multiple alerts that seem to be due to bad sensor data you will be alerted
  • Missed Reading alerts - get alerted if multiple readings are Missed
  • Rising/Falling alerts - get notified when things are changing rapidly
  • None of these alerts re-raise, they all auto snooze
