Bee Launcher v2.7.0
chore(release): bump version to 2.7.0
Bee Launcher v2.6.0
Bee Launcher v2.5.3
chore(release): bump version to 2.5.3
Bee Launcher v2.5.2
Bee Launcher v2.5.1
Fixes
- Linux AppImage and portable tarball now bundle the Qt Quick modules, so the new interface loads instead of falling back to the classic window
- CI now boots the packaged Linux builds headless and fails unless the Qt Quick shell renders
- Windows and macOS packages now deploy the QML modules too
- Fixed the shell test running without a display in CI
Notes
- Windows and macOS packages have not been launched on real machines yet. If the new interface does not appear, run with
--classic-uiand report it - Everything from 2.5.0 still applies: Discover, Accounts and Settings in the new interface open the classic dialogs for now
Bee Launcher v2.5.0
Highlights
- New Qt Quick main window ("Bee Shell"): navigation rail, Home page with a continue playing hero, Library with grouped instance cards, detail panel with Play, search and sorting, light and dark themes
- If the new interface cannot load, Bee Launcher falls back to the classic interface automatically
- Use
--classic-uito force the classic interface for one run, or set UiMode to classic in the settings - Screenshot clipboard fix from upstream Freesm: waits for a complete PNG before copying
- Instance quick play shortcuts, crash analysis, repair, backups and migration polish
- Updated dependencies: Qt 6.10.3 in CI, newer vcpkg baseline and meson overlay, refreshed GitHub Actions
- arm64 builds are no longer published
- New website: https://sudo-ivan.github.io/BeeLauncher/
Notes
- Discover, Accounts and Settings in the new interface still open the classic dialogs. New instance and instance editing also use the classic windows for now
- The new interface needs Qt Quick at runtime. Packaged builds have not yet been verified on every platform, so report any launch problems and use
--classic-uias a workaround
Bee Launcher v2.4.0
test(backups): canonicalize temp paths for macOS extractor
Bee Launcher v2.3.1
Bee Launcher 2.3.1 "Honey" - first Bee Launcher release, forked from FreesmLauncher.
- Bee Launcher branding and honey-colored theme, dark mode default
- Removed cat/anime content, Discord integration, news feed and social links
- Updater and telemetry-related network calls disabled
- Download reliability: resume via .part files and HTTP Range, automatic retries with backoff for transient failures
- Hardened CI/CD: pinned actions, least-privilege permissions, clean zizmor scan
