Open Persian (July 6)

In this session we start to discuss about introducing the platform for learning classical language "AncientGeek" and talk about the localization of eLearning platforms and different aspects of localization.
Regarding to the cultural aspects of localization we continue our talk about how the perception of different cultures about one historical event or person could vary.
Before talking about Open Persian project we take a look at the Classical Persian as the main language of this project, and Hafez and some features of his poems as the texts that are mostly used for this project. We will have a quick look on the English and German translations of these poems.
The last part of this session will be about the alignment process of the above mentioned translations, and how users without knowing Persian are able to align the translation with the original poem, and we will discuss some observations that we already have in this regard.
