WattDrive v0.1.7
WattDrive 0.1.7 fixes sync stopping when an Apple package archive would have the same name as another iCloud file or folder.
- Preserve both items by giving the package archive a numbered name, such as
Project.xcodeproj (iCloud package 1).zip. - Remember the archive name across later syncs, including after the competing item is removed.
- Handle Windows case-insensitive collisions and preserve local edits when a collision appears later.
- Keep Apple bundles as download-only ZIP mirrors; extracted originals remain protected.
Windows 10/11 x64 requires the Evergreen WebView2 Runtime. Linux x86_64 requires FUSE 2 (or --appimage-extract-and-run), a desktop session and an unlocked Secret Service keyring. Installers and portable downloads are provided below.
Dependency checks pass with the four existing Linux maintenance notices documented in CONTEXT.md; no new dependencies were added.
WattDrive v0.1.6
WattDrive 0.1.6 fixes Apple bundles failing to sync from iCloud Drive.
- Save Xcode projects, apps, frameworks and other Apple bundles as clearly named ZIP archives.
- Validate ZIP structure and every entry's integrity instead of comparing compressed downloads with Apple's unpacked size.
- Preserve the original iCloud bundle when a local ZIP is edited or removed. Local edits retain a conflict copy; missing archives download again.
- Stop safely on conflicting archive names or extracted bundle folders before changing files.
- Show progress while checking remote file formats, and retain classification between syncs.
Verified against the 30 previously failing bundles, followed by a clean sync with no further changes. Windows and Linux checks cover sync behavior, archive corruption, naming conflicts and database migration.
Downloads: Windows x64 installer and portable EXE; Linux x86_64 AppImage. Signed updater metadata and SHA-256 checksums are included.
Windows 10/11 requires the Evergreen WebView2 Runtime. Linux requires FUSE 2 (or --appimage-extract-and-run), a desktop session and an unlocked Secret Service keyring.
Dependency checks found no security vulnerabilities. Four previously documented Linux dependency maintenance notices remain; see CONTEXT.md. Extract Apple bundles outside the sync folder; ordinary files continue to sync in both directions.
WattDrive v0.1.5
Two-way iCloud Drive sync for Windows and Linux.
- Windows: native tray, Credential Manager vault key, per-user installer and portable EXE.
- Reject unsafe Windows filenames, case collisions and reparse points before sync changes.
- Updated dependencies fix known security advisories. Legacy ZIP/tar updater support is removed; signed raw AppImage and NSIS updates remain supported.
- npm audit reports zero vulnerabilities, including development tools. Four Linux maintenance notices remain visible: RUSTSEC-2024-0370 and RUSTSEC-2026-0370/0371/0372. They are not security vulnerabilities and have no compatible published fix; recheck by 2026-11-10.
Windows 10/11 x64 requires the Evergreen WebView2 Runtime. Linux x86_64 requires FUSE 2 (or --appimage-extract-and-run), a desktop session and an unlocked Secret Service keyring. See the README for installation and sign-in. Apple Passwords is not included.
