Eir v0.35.0

Autonomous Windows guardian. Eir watches system health — event logs, app
logs, services, disk, security, and error messages or frozen apps on screen —
uses AI to diagnose problems as they happen, fixes what it safely can, and
explains how your PC works when you ask.

Install

  1. Download and run the Windows setup .exe below as Administrator.
    The installer registers and starts the EirSvc Windows service and seeds config.toml automatically.
  2. Pick your AI provider and model in Settings — a logged-in OpenCode, Claude, Codex or Cursor CLI on this PC (no API key needed).
  3. Launch Eir from the Start Menu — the tray icon appears once the service connects.

Requires the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (built into Windows 10/11; the installer fetches it if missing).

Already running an earlier version? It updates itself automatically.

Portable

Eir_v0.35.0_windows-x64.exe launches directly with no installer.
It uses a session-scoped non-admin foreground service; installing the
LocalSystem background service still requires the setup package.

Uninstall

Use Add or Remove Programs — the uninstaller stops and unregisters the service automatically.
