Releases: SwiftSMP/SwiftClient
Release list
SwiftClient 0.5.2
SwiftClient 0.5.2
The website look, everywhere
- The launcher and the in-game menu, title and loading screens now mirror the SwiftSMP website: opaque navy panels with hairline borders, orange and gold accents, Pixelify Sans headings, Silkscreen numbers and Instrument Sans body text.
- Launcher navigation is the site's centred-brand bar with a full-width search row, and the live counters (server online, SwiftClient online, total downloads) sit in the header.
- The loading screen is rebuilt with the brand pill, spinner and an orange→gold progress bar, and hands back to vanilla for its fade-out so it can never stall.
Cloaks in HD
- Capes are now Cloaks, and every cloak texture was upgraded from 64×32 to 1024×512.
- The SwiftClient and partner cloaks are re-rendered from the original high-resolution logos, so they stay sharp in game and in the launcher preview.
SwiftBoost
- Now a five-level quality ladder: when FPS drops it lowers render distance (12 → 4), trims particles and entity distance, then turns off clouds, entity shadows and smooth lighting. It steps back up when there is headroom and restores every original setting when switched off.
- Any FPS cap below your target is raised while Boost is on.
Forge, NeoForge and Quilt
- The launcher can install and run Fabric, Quilt, Forge and NeoForge instances, each with its own mods folder and matching Modrinth installs.
- SwiftClient's own mod (cloaks, HUD, menus, Boost) is Fabric-only for now; on the other loaders the launcher tells you and those features are inactive.

SwiftClient 0.5.0
SwiftBoost — SwiftClient exclusive
- New Boost tab in the Right Shift menu.
- Adaptive performance mode: starts with a 12-chunk render distance, particles minimal and entity distance at 0.5, then tunes render distance every 2 seconds to hold your FPS target.
- FPS target adjustable from 30 to 240.
- Your original render distance, particles and entity distance are saved and restored when you switch it off.
- Up to +50% FPS on GPU-bound systems; the actual gain depends on your hardware and scene.
New look
- Menus and buttons use clean Instrument Sans; the title and loading splash keep the Pixelify SwiftClient wordmark.
- The Mojang red logo splash is replaced with a SwiftClient-branded loading screen.
- Every HUD module and sidebar tab has its own drawn icon, including on the title screen.
- Transparent glass panels over the HD SwiftClient backdrop, which now drifts smoothly.
- Compact title layout for default GUI scales.
- Removed the old "Built for SwiftSMP" tagline.
Fixes
- Closing the SwiftClient menu from the title returns to the SwiftClient title instead of the vanilla Minecraft title.
- SwiftSMP and partner servers pinned by the launcher can no longer be deleted (Delete disabled, plus a data-layer guard).
- Launcher now shows online players and total downloads only; the installs counter is gone.
- 26.3 launch crash from the pause-menu mixin fixed with a safe invoker.
- Friends/chat and redeem codes run against the production cape server (one-time codes included).

SwiftClient 0.4.0
SwiftClient 0.4.0
Partnership and social release: ValenMC joins SwiftSMP, friends and direct messages arrive in the
launcher, and the menus get their Lunar-style finishing touches.
New
- ValenMC partner server — pinned next to SwiftSMP in the server list, with a Servers
screen on the title screen (PARTNER tag, one-click join). The public ValenMC cape is
available in the launcher's Cosmetics tab. - Friends and chat — add players by Minecraft name, accept or decline requests, and message
friends from the Friends tab. Every action is verified with Mojang, and only friends can
read or send messages. - Menus — a top tab bar in the Right Shift menu, a SwiftClient entry on the title and pause
screens, and the Lunar-style title layout. - Mod builds for 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2, 26.3 and every 1.21.x release (1.21–1.21.11).
- The client card shows total GitHub downloads, and a saved Microsoft account survives a
launcher restart.
Fixes
- Fixed the 26.3 launch crash caused by the pause-menu mixin (
InvalidMixinException); the
SwiftClient pause button is back using a safe invoker. - Friends and chat now work against the production cape server, and redeem codes are marked as
used (they could be redeemed repeatedly before). - Launcher tests cover the production cape server's social and redeem routes.

0.3.0
SwiftClient 0.3.0 — now with the full client on every Minecraft from 1.21 to 26.3.

The big one: all of 1.21.x
Until now the SwiftClient mod only built for 26.2 and 26.3, so anyone who picked a 1.21.x release got the performance mods but no capes, no HUD and no SwiftClient menu. SwiftClient now ships a mod for 1.21, 1.21.1 … 1.21.11, 26.2 and 26.3 — fourteen versions in all.
Same design everywhere
The 1.21.x screens were a reduced variant. They now match 26.3 exactly: the vanilla panorama behind the SwiftSMP navy wash, the crowned-mascot logo, the scaled wordmark, the hero Join SwiftSMP button with the server address and PLAY pill, the Mods / Language / SwiftClient pills, the Mojang credits link, and the fade-in. The Right Shift menu gained its type-to-search box, header, open and tab animations, scrolling and scrollbar.
Find mods without leaving the launcher
The Mods tab now searches Modrinth and installs in one click, filtered to Fabric builds for the Minecraft version you have selected. Every file is checked against Modrinth's published sha512 before it lands in your instance, and mods you install this way are yours — the built-in set never touches them.
You will hear about updates
An available update now raises a Windows notification as well as the banner in the window, so it reaches you even with SwiftClient sitting in the background. Signed-in state is also more robust: a damaged or outdated saved account no longer looks like a lost sign-in.
Capes
Cape selection now reports why Mojang refused to confirm a session, which is the difference between a bad sign-in and a server problem — and it is how we will finish chasing the reports of capes not working.

SwiftClient 0.2.0
Capes work again
Picking a cape failed with "Mojang could not verify this session" because Mojang ties that check to the player's IP, so the cape server never saw a match. The launcher now retries with your Minecraft access token, which the cape server verifies with Mojang and never stores. Everyone on 26.1–26.3 gets capes; the mod now ships for 26.2 as well as 26.3.
Live player counts
The Play screen shows who is on SwiftSMP right now (a normal Minecraft server ping) and how many SwiftClient players are online, plus the total install count. Counts are anonymous and can be switched off in Settings.
Faster, smoother, self-updating
- Verified game files are cached, so launching no longer re-hashes every library and asset.
- Updates are checked hourly and any build that cannot install itself still gets a one-click download.
- Every Minecraft version still launches with the performance mod set, Discord presence and your own mods; versions without a SwiftClient mod jar are labelled in the picker.
- Better cape error messages, a small view transition in the launcher, and 26.1/26.2 API compatibility shims in the mod.
Install over an older version (your accounts, mods and settings are kept). Windows SmartScreen may warn: More info → Run anyway.
0.1.4
SwiftClient 0.1.4 — the SwiftSMP Minecraft launcher for Windows.
Download: SwiftClient-Setup.exe below. If Windows SmartScreen warns, choose More info → Run anyway (the installer is not code-signed yet).
What's new in 0.1.4
- Microsoft sign-in only. Offline/"cracked" account mode is gone: SwiftClient plays with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. Saved offline names from 0.1.1–0.1.3 are cleaned up on load.
- The account menu now shows the signed-in account, Add account and Sign out — no offline names.
- The launcher still opens without signing in ("Not now") so you can set up mods and settings; only Play asks for the account.
Features
- Installs Minecraft Java through Fabric with a curated performance set (Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, More Culling, BadOptimizations, ModernFix, Krypton, Dynamic FPS, and optional Iris, Zoomify, Mod Menu and more). Every release from 1.21 to 26.3.
- SwiftClient capes — pick one in the Cosmetics tab and every SwiftClient player sees it (elytra too, unless you have your own).
- In-game Right Shift menu with movable HUD mods: FPS, CPS, ping, coordinates, clock, keystrokes, armor status and the SwiftSMP badge. Drag to move, scroll to resize, right-click to hide.
- F6 hides all HUD mods; switches to hide the scoreboard, boss bar, potion effects, titles and held-item name.
- Tweaks: auto sprint, bright mode, zoom on C (2–10×).
- Import your own Fabric mods — each jar is checked for loader, version range, duplicates and conflicts first. Every Minecraft version gets its own isolated folder.
- Lunar-style title screen, SwiftSMP glass on every vanilla screen, SwiftSMP pinned to the top of the server list, Join SwiftSMP in one click, and Discord Rich Presence.
- Updates itself from GitHub Releases.
