fjj v0.2.6
Full Changelog: v0.2.5...v0.2.6
fjj v0.2.4
fjj v0.2.3
Restores discovery of existing jj identity configuration on macOS, including
~/Library/Application Support/jj/config.toml and conf.d/*.toml. These locations
were no longer read after embedding jj 0.37, leaving user.name and user.email
unset for users of older jj configurations.
The fix applies to both fjj and fjjui. It preserves older jj's config precedence,
honors JJ_CONFIG and normal identity overrides, and reads configuration entirely
in-process under the existing kernel policy. Existing commit authors are unchanged.
Includes native Linux and macOS binaries for x86_64 and ARM64. Every target is
tested for config discovery, commit identity, Git/SSH workflows, and embedded UI
operation before publication. Each archive includes both executables and source
provenance; adjacent SHA-256 files verify the downloads.
Published from the successful four-platform release build
using the verified-artifact publisher.
fjj v0.2.2
The commands are now fjj and fjjui. Install both executables from this release in the same directory. The repository remains Swoorup/fastjj.
fjjembeds jj 0.37.0 with native Git and SSH transport.fjjuibundles jjui 0.10.11 and launches the embedded backend through inherited request and credential channels.fjj embeddescribes the enforced process policy; the former diagnostic command remains an alias.- README terminology now describes the embedded client. Process restrictions and argument handling remain enforced.
Native binaries for Linux and macOS, on x86_64 and ARM64, passed optimized tests, real UI workflows, HTTPS verification, and SSH clone/fetch/push checks. Each archive includes both executables, documentation, licenses, and source metadata; adjacent .sha256 files verify the downloads. macOS requires 13.0 or later.
The binary-only Nix flake installs both commands:
nix profile install --refresh github:Swoorup/fastjj
nix run --refresh github:Swoorup/fastjj#fjjuiVerified source: 403222280211e7c8eb7b03a19b51be7aee5acbf7.
Release build and checks.
fastjj v0.2.1 — responsive private jjui actions
fastjj 0.2.1 includes the private jjui fork and fixes credential prompts in Lua actions.
- Lua
jj(...)calls keep the UI responsive while waiting for native SSH/HTTPS credentials, then resume with their normal output/error return values. fastjjuiuses inherited private command and credential channels. Backend argv staysfastjj --request-fd; repository paths, command data, and credentials stay out of child-process arguments.- The Rust backend embeds jj 0.37.0 with native Git/SSH. The UI is based on jjui 0.10.11.
- Both executables are included for Intel and ARM64 Linux and macOS. Install them together, then run
fastjjuiinside a repository.
Run the binary-only Nix package with:
nix run --refresh github:Swoorup/fastjj#jjuiSee the jjui guide for workflows, configuration, and source builds. External shell actions remain disabled. Use the bundled fastjjui for the private argument protocol; the privacy model describes its scope.
fastjj v0.2.0 — private jjui support
fastjj 0.2.0 bundles a private jjui client alongside the Rust backend.
- fastjjui 0.10.11 compatibility, backed by embedded jj 0.37.0 and native libgit2/libssh2 transport.
- Every UI backend command uses fixed argv (
fastjj --request-fd). Arguments, repository paths, and credential prompts travel through inherited private descriptors. stdin remains available for descriptions and interactive editors. - Native SSH keys, agents, encrypted-key prompts, host verification, Git fetch/push, and terminal editing work through the UI. External shell actions remain disabled.
- Native binaries for Intel and ARM64 Linux and macOS. Install both
fastjjandfastjjuiin the same directory, then runfastjjuiinside a repository.
The binary-only Nix flake exposes the UI as nix run github:Swoorup/fastjj#jjui after updating the consumer's lock file.
See the jjui guide for setup and supported workflows, and the privacy model for scope. Unmodified upstream jjui does not provide the private argument channel. Argument privacy does not hide terminal output, working directories, environment, repository history, or process memory.
fastjj v0.1.0
Rust Jujutsu client with mandatory process privacy on Linux and macOS, for x86_64 and ARM64.
These binaries were built from c64619c by the successful native release workflow. All four targets passed optimized tests, native HTTPS and SSH transfer tests, and platform privacy checks.
Includes in-process Git transport, SSH keys and agents, encrypted-key prompts, SSH configuration, host-key verification, and native multi-hop ProxyJump. Embeds jj 0.29.0; this is not a drop-in replacement for current jjui. External commands are blocked. See the bundled README and privacy documentation for supported features and scope.
Each archive contains the binary, documentation, license, and source provenance. Verify it using its adjacent SHA-256 file. Linux builds use Ubuntu 24.04; macOS requires 13.0 or later. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.
Assets are pinned by the repository's Nix flake and must not be replaced.
