I've just read about the end-of-service for teammates. Of course, I'm quite disappointed about that.

What will you all do? Do you have a different platform to use or will you continue based on the open source code?

I've just read about the end-of-service for teammates. Of course, I'm quite disappointed about that.

We are sorry too, but nothing can last forever :-) This project is run by a group of us in a university who are involved in teaching and learning software engineering. Given that software engineering field is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment (due to AI), our attention is needed elsewhere (i.e., to evolve our teaching and learning to keep up). So, we can't dedicate enough time to keep running this project anymore.

What will you all do? Do you have a different platform to use or will you continue based on the open source code?

For the moment the plan is to keep working on the code (although we don't have the public service anymore) so that anyone who wishes to run their own TEAMMATES instance can do so. However, the code is not yet optimized for such self-hosting. That could be something we will tackle next.
