First public release of tartarus — the uncensored AI coding agent in your terminal. One self-contained binary: no Python, no pip, no Node.

Install

macOS / Linux (one line)

curl -sSf https://dash.tartarusai.dev/tartarus-setup.sh | bash

Auto-detects your OS + CPU, drops the tartarus binary in ~/.local/bin, and puts it on your PATH. On older CPUs without AVX2 it falls back to the baseline build automatically.

Windows x86_64

Quickstart

1. Create an account + token at https://dash.tartarusai.dev/account
2. Start a session in any project directory: tartarus
3. On first launch it prompts for your CLI token. Switch models any time with /models.
