@Layenzz Layenzz released this 30 Oct 12:09

Talky connects your stream to your Project Zomboid game: LibertyTalk calls the Talky bridge on each follow, sub, gift, bits, raid, channel point redemption, chat command, Streamlabs donation or YouTube Super Chat and new member, and the mod plays the matching workflow in the game.

Two modes

  • Single player: the bridge and a cloudflared tunnel run on your PC. Double-click start-bridge.cmd: on its first start it creates bridge\config.json and copies its token to the clipboard.
  • Server (dedicated or hosted): the admin runs the bridge on the machine of the server (start-bridge.sh on Linux, start-bridge.cmd server on Windows), opens its port (7420 by default), then adds each streamer in game: F8 > Webhooks > Streamers. Each streamer gets an address (http://<server IP>:7420) and a token to paste into the LibertyTalk widget, and installs nothing but the mod. The effects happen around the streamer's character and every player sees them. Limits, cooldowns and switches are set by the server on the Talky page of the sandbox options.

Install

  1. Download Talky-0.5.0.zip and extract it to a folder you keep, for example Documents\Talky (not Zomboid\mods).
  2. Mod: copy the Talky folder of the zip to %USERPROFILE%\Zomboid\mods, or use the Steam Workshop item (one of the two, never both).
  3. On LibertyTalk, install the official "Project Zomboid · Talky" widget and paste the bridge address and token.

Requires Project Zomboid Build 42.20.1 or later, Node.js 18 or later, and cloudflared in single player. Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.

Status: single player was tested end to end in a real game (a Twitch follow spawned a named zombie). Server mode was tested against a simulated game API only: please open an issue if something does not work on a real server.
