@nf-s testing Feb 21 release:

  • when adding data such as the Bathymetry, click ideal zoom and try to zoom in, the app crashes (white screen)
  • the rest seems fine

Some of those Bathymetry WFS datasets are large - which can hang or crash Terria.
We can either disable the large datasets, or try to progress TerriaJS/terriajs#4633 (Client-side vector support)

ok, let's leave them for now in the release. The reason is that we have more than a couple, and if we disable one, two, we should do it for all. We definitely need to progress the client side vector support. We can start in March.

@AnaBelgun I think we can do all Software migration issues by end of Aug except for "Fixed pickedFeatures for dynamic layers" - which may require more time

@nf-s wish list

  • Use new mvt to fix WFS/OpenDataSoft/Socrata/GeoJSON/CKAN performance
    • Leave region mapping as is for the moment
    • Probably without dynamic styling - depends on time
  • Go through error messages quickly to remove duplicated text (eg CORS errors and messages which include email contact)
  • CKAN cleanup (adding formats)
    • Remove CKAN groups which have no datasets
  • Data.gov.au?
  • Think about search - we should be able to search through entire catalog quickly (even if it is just catalog item names)

  • Add NBN layers to Comms group (cripsy = truly high priority)

Created a staging site for data.gov.au here: https://staging.search.data.gov.au/ and upgraded to v60

See ticket here: magda-io/magda-config-data.gov.au#35

Seems "Open in NationalMap" button doesn't work with https://nationalmap-2021-09-03.nm.terria.io/
nor https://beta.nationalmap.terria.io/
However, it works with other v8 map e.g. https://nsw.digitaltwin.terria.io/

Probably an easier to test example to debug the issue above (you don't need Magda frontend to reproduce the issue).

In the real code Magda send the catalog item via postMessage:
