First citable release of STRhub, the open-access web platform for forensic short tandem repeat (STR) genetics deployed at https://strhub.app.
What this release contains
- STR marker catalogue: 228 markers (CODIS core, other autosomal, X-STRs and Y-STRs) with GRCh38/GRCh37 coordinates, repeat motifs, ISFG/STRNaming sequence structures and MPS kit coverage from STRidER's FSSG v6.1.
- Allele frequencies: population allele frequencies and summary statistics from capillary electrophoresis (pop.STR / SP-SMART) and sequencing (1000 Genomes Project) datasets, in charts and downloadable tables.
- Tools: DNA mixture simulator contrasting CE and NGS, STR motif explorer over the ISFG minimum range, FASTA generator with configurable flanking regions, embedded IGV.js viewer with 1000 Genomes demo reads.
- Foundations: educational articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
- STRhub Verified (tester phase): reproducible verification reports for STR analysis tools.
STRhub is not a casework tool and does not replace validated forensic software.
