INSTALLATION

1. If you plan to play using VR at all then install version 5.4.22 of BepInEx mod loader by unzipping it into your Demeo game directory. NOTE: BepInEx works for BOTH VR and PC! Alternatively if you ONLY play on PC you can install version 0.5.7 of MelonLoader mod loader by running the installer, selecting your Demeo directory and then click INSTALL. NO NEED TO INSTALL BOTH mod loaders!
   🚨 For MelonLoader you must un-check the 'Latest' box then select v0.5.7 from the drop-down list 🚨

2. Unzip the contents of DemeoRevolutions-v2.1.7.zip directly into your Demeo game folder.

3. IF YOU'VE BEEN USING VR WITH MELONLOADER it's time to switch to BepInEx! (Click link to download) After installing BepInEx to your Demeo game directory make sure to rename your version.dll file to version.old. That's it! Next time you run Demeo you should be using BepInEx as your mod loader! If you're only playing on PC you may choose to continue to use MelonLoader or switch to BepInEx as above. It's up to you!

Heroes of the Voice Machine specific changes

• Removed Easy and Insane modes for HotVM until they are working as intended.
• Balanced and updated monster spawns and lamp spawns.
• Monster spawns will be according to the book chosen.
• Monsters will respawn in the dark.
• Melee Bleed should be fixed.
• Points given for certain actions have been changed. (Updated in the ExampleRulesets folder)
• The Serpent Lord now has buffs and should be a more challenging fight.
• Balanced some ability damages, immunities, and KeyHolder buff is removed.
• Fixed HP gain and loss when leveling to 2nd level or losing the level.
• Lightning and other abilities now hurt friendlies, as intended.

Demeo Revolutions specific changes

• Changed the Hunter and Assassin abilities gained from the Energy Potion and Extra Energy buff as listed below
• The Hunter now gains Spectral Strike which charges your bow with a magical AoE that hits a 5x5 area 3 damage each and can NOT hit allies!
• The Assassin now gain Firebolt which launches a 3x3 firebolt at range for 5 damage to enemies, does NOT break sneak and CAN hit allies so be careful!

• Fixed a rule not loading since today's Demeo update
• NOTE: Currently if you play any ruleset and then return to the game menu to try to start a new game it will lock up. Looking into why... For now, always restart after running any ruleset.

Demeo Revolutions v2.1.0

Updated October 18, 2023 with fix for LevelExitLockedUntilOneHeroRemains rule

NEW install instructions as of October 4, 2023! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

1. If you haven't already done so then follow the installation instructions for HouseRules!

2. DELETE all existing DLL's in your game directory's Mods folder before installing! Recent HousRules updates now allow BepInEx or MelonLoader to patch the game and have changed the name of some files!

3. Unzip the contents of DemeoRevolutions-v2.1.0.zip directly into your Demeo game folder, not the Mods folder!

4. If you have existing CUSTOM JSON ruleset files then move them from your UserData\HouseRules folder into the new HouseRules folder in your base Demeo game folder!

5. If you're using MelonLoader to launch the game then to change the default settings for HouseRules and/or to set your own RoomCode just navigate to the UserData folder and use Notepad or any text editor to change the MelonPreferences.cfg file.

6. If you're using BepInEx to launch the game then to change the default settings for HouseRules and/or to set your own RoomCode just navigate to the BepInEx\config folder and use Notepad or any text editor to change the related cfg files that start with com.orendain.demeomods.

General Demeo changes

• Added HouseRules new LevelExitLockedUntilOneHeroRemains rule.
• Added a new FreeCamera mod that allows PC players to freely move around the game room using WASD as well as E (up) and F (down) keys.
• Fixed ruleset descriptions that weren't showing properly.
• Built in BepInEx mod loader support. If you choose to use BepInEx instead of MelonLoader then be sure to DELETE or RENAME the version.dll in your Demeo game directory.
• Game load times are now MUCH faster -- even with a lot of large custom rulesets!
• ALL newly updated existing HouseRules mods (AdvancedStats, FreeCamera, Highlighter, RoomCode, RoomFinder, and SkipIntro) are now included due to the file and filename updates.

Demeo Revolutions v2.0.2

To install

1. If you haven't already done so then follow the installation instructions for House Rules!

2. Unzip the contents of DemeoRevolutions-v2.0.2.zip directly into your Mods folder. Overwrite existing files if asked.

VERY IMPORTANT

Recent HousRules updates have changed the name of files in the Mods folder to HouseRules. format (notice the period). DELETE the 3 HouseRules_ (notice the underscore) DLL's before running Demeo or it will cause significant problems.

3. IF YOU'RE USING STEAM OR OCULUS PCVR since the last release of v2.0.1 then you need to also download the NEW Demeo.dll file and copy it into your \MelonLoader\Dependencies\CompatibilityLayers folder and overwrite the existing file!

General Demeo changes

• This is not included in this update but there's a new HouseRules HighLighter mod that lets you see your line-of-sight in real time as you hover your player piece on your turn. Click the link to see it and download it if you want!

Demeo Revolutions specific changes

• Fixed bug that caused Revolutions/Reloaded games to act strange when the Host has to reconnect and regain control

Demeo Revolutions v2.0.1

To install

NOTE: In the last patch Resolution decided to change the directory names for Oculus users from Demeo VR to DemeoVR and from Demeo - PC Edition to DemeoPC. If you already had this or House Rules installed it's likely that your MelonLoader and other Mods folders need to be moved into the new folders from the old ones.
