Frameshell 0.12.0
Highlights
- Image projects (ADR 0017). Frameshell now edits pictures too: posters, thumbnails, social cards. Start one by dropping pictures on the welcome screen or opening them with Frameshell. A Layers panel takes the timeline's place (rename, reorder, delete, Ask agent), the Pick tool still names what you point at, and Export image saves PNG, JPEG or WebP. Agents use
frameshell init --kind image, track set --indexandframe --format jpg|webp --quality. - Image from a video frame. In a video project, File > New Image from Frame (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+S, or right-click the preview) turns the frame at the playhead into a new image project, e.g. a YouTube thumbnail at 1280×720.
- Setup lines of a new project's first transcription follow the UI language (Spanish too). Needs
@frameshell/whisper-cpp0.2.0, which new projects install. - Fix: multicam program sound nested in an audio track plays at exact samples.
Protocol v50: a daemon from an older version is replaced on first start after the update.
Platforms
- macOS (arm64, x64): signed and notarized.
- Linux (AppImage,
.deb, x64): beta, not verified by hand. Linux arm64 cannot render HyperFrames clips (no headless Chrome). - Windows (x64): unsigned beta; SmartScreen warns on first run. Updates show a banner with a link, no auto-install.
