Swift-JSON 1.7.0
Swift-JSON 1.7.0
Release target: 8557badef562cf2f059e964c113d4a7f60ecbe6c, admitted through PR #70. Its tree exactly matches the reviewed candidate 32e9726; version metadata alone did not publish this release.
Swift-JSON 1.7.0 brings the reviewed structural and transformation tools into one additive release:
- JSONInspection provides complete or prefix-scoped array evidence, source-attached snapshots, checked trees and sparse object tables, exact structural sets, numeric matrices and source-bound directed graphs with bounded BFS.
- JSONTransform exposes the shared compiler and pull VM through guarded, invocation-owned execution, exact native values and cumulative CLI accounting.
- JSONValueDSL and JSONSchemaDSL build authored values and schema documents. Their checked finalization uses the existing exact model and native schema compiler; authored staging and callbacks remain caller work.
The package contains twelve optional libraries plus swift-json. JSONDSLCore is a supporting public module without a separate library product. Existing core, schema, examples, streaming, Patch, HTML, bridges and Navigation APIs remain intact. All products in a SwiftPM tag share the package version.
Compatibility
The public surface is additive to stable 1.6.1. Exact decimal values, decoded Unicode scalar identity, ordered object storage, order-independent equality, strict UTF-8, offline immutable schema plans, finite operation budgets and source-map coherence retain their contracts. Missing values, explicit null, ordinary validation failure, resource exhaustion and cancellation remain distinct.
Swift tools/compiler 6.4+, Swift language mode 6 and Apple deployment/SDK 27+ remain required. Linux and WASI support retain their documented architecture and runtime scopes. Root package dependencies remain empty. Original code remains Apache-2.0 with upstream notices retained.
Qualification and limits
All eight post-merge Native/Linux product checks and automatic documentation publication passed on the actual release commit. Use the accompanying source-bound qualification receipt for actual commands, environments, counts and platform outcomes. Compiler/SDK builds do not establish physical-device runtime results. Independent-suite policy exclusions remain separate from evaluated successes; preserved failed attempts and successful retries retain their own outcomes.
The maintainer accepted a performance exception only for this exact release source. Navigation G4 remains HOLD, with zero accepted controlled timing samples; Transform P4 is explicitly waived for this source. Neither is a measured pass. The separate 44/150 and 119/150 partial windows remain incomplete. No new speed, throughput, allocation-efficiency or RSS claim is made. The historical streaming disposition and unchanged 10% review trigger remain. Logical retained bytes are accounting quantities, distinct from process memory.
Public store/follow access, batch operations, persistence and wider retrieval remain later gates. The release roadmap records those proposed waves.
The attached source archive, thirteen-catalog compiled DocC, documentation manifest, qualification receipt and SHA-256 checksums identify the qualified bytes. The qualification asset is a timestamped prepublication snapshot; later publication does not rewrite its historical fields. See the release checklist for the gates.
Documentation: hosted API and guides. At the verified deployment it reports source 1.7.0 at the release commit; its stable 1.6.1 label records the prepublication observation. This label is separate from the official latest GitHub release.
