Welcome to the official GitHub organization for TransIRC open source projects and tool spin-offs!
This organization hosts a collection of tools, services, and utilities developed for or alongside the TransIRC network — a space centered around trans and gender-questioning individuals. While our specific setups will remain closed-source we want to open many of our tools or versions of our tools which may help other communities as well.
TransIRC is an IRC-based community network offering a safe, trans-owned space for trans people and gender questioning individuals. It features:
- Custom IRC services and bots
- Themed web clients
- Secure authentication systems (like NickServ-based SSH login)
- Integrations with social media and custom-built tools
- Web-powered features like a quote blog, user status pages, and more
This GitHub organization is where we release and maintain the open source components that power TransIRC.
Some examples of projects you might see under this organization:
- 💬 IRC bots and plugins – Moderation tools, pronoun tracking, reporting systems, karma, and more
- 🌐 Web integrations – News/blog systems, user portals, and DokuWiki plugins
- 🔐 Authentication tools – NickServ PAM modules, PROXY protocol support, and custom SSH server (

rich
andprompt_toolkit
- 🛠️ Helper libraries – Shared logic, API clients, and utilities reused across multiple services
