Sylva 0.3.1: terrestrial and airborne laser scanning processing for forest ecology.

RIEGL scans

• Read .rxp with MTA resolution and filters modelled on RiSCAN PRO (the MTA resolution is a work in progress and not an exact match), and .rdbx through librdb.
• Recover the pulses a scanner fired but did not record from the timing and zenith sweep of those it did (read_rxp_shots(fill_missing=...)), with a report of what was recovered.

Registration

• sylva.registration_report: pair residuals and a self-contained HTML report on how well a set of scans agree, with a map of the survey and the worst pairs up close.
• plot_overlay and plot_sections to check a registration by eye.

Tree segmentation and QSMs

• Memory of tree segmentation cut by two thirds; seeds found through a cell grid, graph bridged, stems seeded from the ground.
• Plot QSMs anchored on the stem table from the command line; short-stem and slenderness pruning rules exposed in the trees commands.

Other

• io.write_concat: one LAS/LAZ from several tiles, streamed file by file.
• PAD derived from the bias-corrected FPL attenuation; raster hillshade as gdaldem does.
• scripts/plot_pipeline.sh: resumable plot pipeline from DTM to voxels.
• .zenodo.json archive metadata; documentation published on every push and source comments throughout.
