Vaultite 0.6.1
A first run that feels finished: the Mac app installs like one, errors say what happened in plain words, and the palette and font picker open faster.
- The command palette, the quick switcher and the font picker open sooner and keep up with the pointer and the arrow
keys: the font picker no longer loads every font before it shows. - The app built from source (
npm run app:build, app:install) is Vaultite Main, an app of its own: a release
installs beside it instead of over it. - The Mac app's icon has the shape and margin of a Mac app's, and its disk image opens to a laid-out window (Vaultite,
an arrow, Applications) named just Vaultite. - Opened from its disk image, the Mac app offers to move itself to Applications, then reopens from there and ejects the
disk image. - Set up Vaultite says less: New vault and Open folder without a line under them, and Start with example notes.
- The plugin directory ends with its list, without a note under it (installing one still says it runs code).
- In the plugins list, "needs" shows only when what a plugin needs is off, as small as its byline.
- Companion is on by default: its session starts only when you first @ it or ask it something.
- A new vault's example notes are Start here, How this vault works (a tour of what a note holds) and the Claude page,
not every plugin's page. - A vault plugin using the app's CodeMirror starts in a new vault: Obsidian plugins no longer fail with "Class
extends value undefined". - Errors say what failed in plain words, never a program's text: a plugin that can't start says so with Turn off, and
the exact error waits behind Details (Copy details, the Errors page).
Every change: CHANGELOG.md.
