[0.2.4.2-testnet] - 2026-10-19

Security patch. Not consensus-breaking (consensus_breaking: false): honest blocks are produced and validated identically by v0.2.4.1 and v0.2.4.2 nodes. Every node operator should upgrade.

Security

  • Hardened validation of EVM (eth_sendRawTransaction) transactions: every field used during execution is now checked against the ECDSA-signed payload. Details will be published after the network has upgraded.

Verified

  • Full test suite green, plus a new regression test (tests/test_evm_wrapper_binding.rs).
  • The entire existing testnet history (3,702 transactions, 3,663 EVM) re-validates under the new rule.

Upgrade

sudo bash vera-join.sh --upgrade
