Changes included since v1.0.22:
Resolve protected file-host download links (cf79054)
Detailed changelog
- Added direct resolution for exposed
bzzhr.tocopy-link endpoints andfileditchfiles.stdownload anchors, with same-session cookies, referrers, strict HTTPS validation, and host-scoped URL checks. - Added a Resolve download button to the visible Download Browser so supported JavaScript/Cloudflare pages can press their normal page control and start the resulting browser download without copying a link back into VoidLaunch manually.
- Added a visible, themed WebView2 Download Browser where host pages execute their own JavaScript, timers, cookies, and user clicks without VoidLaunch generating temporary site tokens or bypassing the site's wait/browser check.
- Added a persistent multi-download queue with three concurrent transfer slots, per-item progress, Pause, Resume, Retry, Remove, browser fallback, and completed-download history that survives restarts.
- Interrupted direct downloads now keep
.voidlaunch.partdata and resume with HTTP Range plus ETag/Last-Modified validation; servers that ignore Range restart that item safely after validating the response. - Archive extraction and library import are serialized behind concurrent transfers to prevent overlapping scans from racing library updates.
- Added local
downloads.jsonqueue storage and disclosed the embedded browser's local WebView2 cookies/profile data in the Privacy page. - Direct downloads now reject HTML gate/error pages before saving them as fake ZIP, RAR, or 7-Zip archives, with a clear Continue on host page action.
- Ordinary static download links now retain session cookies, HTTPS redirect context, and privacy-limited referrers while timed or one-time-token gates remain in the host's visible browser flow.
- Pasted HTTPS links now tolerate surrounding quotes, angle brackets, byte-order marks, and zero-width characters copied from webpages or messages.
- Gofile failures now distinguish rejected tokens, Premium/Full API Access restrictions, rate limits, missing shares, timeouts, and malformed API responses instead of showing only a generic resolution failure.
- Added themed Check token, Gofile API help, and profile/reset-token buttons plus an in-app warning that API tokens are private credentials and are never saved by VoidLaunch.
- The Downloads page now accepts direct HTTPS files, Gofile share URLs through Gofile's documented authenticated API, and static landing pages that expose one ordinary HTTPS download link.
- Added a session-only Gofile API-token field; tokens are never persisted or logged, are attached only to Gofile domains, and are dropped before cross-domain redirects.
- Added bounded landing-page inspection, manual HTTPS redirect validation, unambiguous archive-link selection, and a browser fallback for scripted or protected download pages.
- Direct archive downloads can now extract ZIP, RAR, and 7-Zip files into a folder named after the archive, with live themed extraction progress.
- Downloads now ask whether to use the selected game folder or add another persistent game location; games from every enabled location continue to appear in one Library.
- Extracted folders are scanned automatically and detected game executables are added to the Library as soon as the import finishes.
- Added an optional archive-password field, safe collision names instead of overwrites, cancellation cleanup, free-space checks, and archive path/link validation.
- Downloaded archives are kept by default, with an opt-in button to move a successfully imported archive to the Recycle Bin.
- Added an Installations page that checks common portable-app locations for verified older VoidLaunch EXEs.
- Added Keep, Open folder, Ask me again, and safe Delete-to-Recycle-Bin controls for every detected older copy.
- Added a startup notification and themed sidebar badge until each older copy has been kept or removed.
- Updated Checkout to v7, Setup .NET to v6, and Upload Artifact to v7 so release builds no longer use the deprecated Node.js 20 action runtime.
- Missing games are now removed after a scan with an in-app notification naming what disappeared, and deleted game folders are also noticed when VoidLaunch regains focus.
- Added free-space and total-capacity details for every configured game drive on the Game Folders page.
- Added a themed Downloads tab for user-provided HTTPS links with safe partial files, destination selection, progress, speed, time remaining, cancel, completion history, and open-folder actions.
- Fixed the runtime-only progress animation name-scope error present in v1.0.14 and v1.0.15.
- Reworked loading bars to use a safe whole-control pulse while downloads keep smooth code-driven progress animation.
- Added a visible startup error message and a local
StartupCrash.logfor unexpected UI startup failures. - Added automatic rotating library backups and recovery from a missing or damaged
library.json. - Added child-process tracking so launchers that hand off to the real game keep counting playtime until the game closes.
- Added a Game Folders page with pause, one-folder rescan, subfolder exclusions, removal choices, and Undo.
- Added named collections and comma-separated tags on each game page.
- Added single-instance protection; opening VoidLaunch twice now brings the existing window forward.
- Added a themed notification center and animated toast messages, including Undo for game, folder, scan-result, and play-session removal.
- Added cancel buttons and smooth, theme-colored download animations for app updates and older-version downloads.
- Added an animated theme-colored marker for the active sidebar tab.
- Moved game session logs into
VoidLaunchData\GameLogsand safely migrates the oldLogsfolder without overwriting different files. - GitHub Releases now receive an automatic per-push changelog instead of generic generated notes.
