Creating Bookmarks in Videos

To enhance your video-watching experience, AVideo offers a bookmarking feature that allows you to mark important moments in a video. Follow these steps to create and use bookmarks:

Step 1: Accessing Bookmark Feature

  1. Log in to your AVideo account.
  2. Navigate to the "Videos" section in the menu.

Step 2: Adding a Bookmark

  1. In the videos list, locate the video you want to add a bookmark to.
  2. On the right side of the video entry, you'll find an "Add Bookmark" button. Click on this button to start creating a bookmark.

Step 3: Creating the Bookmark

  1. After clicking "Add Bookmark," a new page will open.
  2. At the top, you'll see the video you're working with.
  3. Below the video, you'll find an input box for the current video time.
  4. There's also an input field for adding a brief description or title for your bookmark.
  5. Once you've entered the time and text, click the "Add" button to save the bookmark.

Using Bookmarks

Step 1: Accessing Bookmarks List

  1. After creating bookmarks for a video, they will appear as "chapters."
  2. These chapters can be accessed through a button located in the video's progress bar.

Step 2: Viewing Bookmarked Chapters

  1. Clicking the chapters button will open a submenu.
  2. This submenu will list all the bookmarks you've created for that specific video.

Step 3: Navigating with Bookmarks

  1. On the video details page, you'll see a list of your bookmarks (chapters) along with their respective timestamps.
  2. Clicking on a timestamp will take you to the exact position in the video where the bookmark was created.

Step 4: Sharing Bookmark Links

  1. When you navigate to a specific bookmarked time, the video's URL will update with a time variable (t=) representing that bookmarked time.
  2. If you share this URL with others, the video will play from the exact bookmark position you've set.
